Here you go, somebody do this

I have so many business ideas every day that there's no way I could pursue them all even if I had the resources (which I don't). So here's a freebie for whoever wants to act on it.

The thyroid information and supplement market is huge, but it's almost exclusively oriented toward women. So much so, in fact, that I actually had to double-check whether men even *have* a thyroid gland when researching. That's how slanted toward women the existing resources are. Almost every site assumes a female audience and is written from that perspective.

About.com says:

87.6% of thyroid patients are female thus male thyroid disease information is not widely available
That's a 12.4% share of a LARGE market just waiting for you hawks in here to go crush it.

So make a new info product, a new supplement, or both, aimed at the MALE thyroid issues market. Call it "Thyroman" or "Thyromale" if you want. And after you sell a few thousand units, send me a free copy of the e-book or a bottle of the supplement, eh? I happen to be the target market.

Here's another one - totally unrelated.

Make a domain-checking service that allows people to see if names are already registered. I know there are already tons of these, but here's the twist - integrate an automated software to automatically analyze the names searched and go register the good ones - for you.

Bada-bing. You now have a free labor force to find YOU the best domain names - the ones people are actually searching for and considering registering. If you don't trust automatic analyzer software, then just have it send you a list of all the names searched every day, and you decide.

That's interesting thinking - but there are already companies doing this. I can confirm that I have been checking some cool domain names last year (at domaintools.com) and they have been registered in next two or three days ... Rings a bell so I don't use their service if I don't intend to register one domain fast.

Gee, I don't even trust GoDaddy about that. All user queries on the web can be analyzed, monitored and even used live etc.

You could just promote the same thyroid products but target them toward men couldn't you??? I wonder how much demand there is for men, perhaps that is why it is targeted toward women!

I am going to go have a look at the keyword searches for men's thyroid problems. If it has the demand perhaps I'll give it a go. I have a thyroid problem myself so it is a topic I know a little about.

    Thanks

Yeah, if you wanted to, you could just re-label or re-work one of the existing products in a male-oriented way.

I suspect that men are underdiagnosed, women are more likely go to the doctor with general hormonal issues that turn out to be thyroid. Like women's heart conditions had been underdiagnosed in the past.

I did some keyeord research for those who want to pursue it. Here are the highest searches for (US) local broad and exact.
