WOW, that's the kind of voice you only hear from the absolute top professionals.

If someone got him in contact with a few large companies, he'd easily have hundreds of voice over jobs lined up in a week.

Anyway, here's the good news, look in the comments underneath...

here's some quick facts:
- he's got an appointment with Dave and Jimmy's Radio in about 4 hrs.
- ritchey bought him a phone.
- there is a $15,000 salary offering for a gig in the radio biz.
- he's got hundreds of other job offerings if he doesn't accept the salary
- he's been clean for 2 (two) years.
- earlier there was a fundraiser made for him, generated about $1500 for him
- his name is Ted Williams.

Not sure how true that is but it sounds quite good.

What an amazing voice. If he continues to stay sober and focused, I'd not be surprised if he becomes a national celebrity of some kind in short order.

When I checked it had 1+ million views. FEW minutes
later I checked again and it had nearly 3 million views.

I am retired from marketing but if I was still in the game I would

tweet about the guy
share on facebook about the guy

create ebooks around the story

create a Parody of him and upload it to youtube

A parody in contemporary usage, is a work created to mock, comment on, or make fun at an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, ...

What about someone saying the same words but inhale hellium to create a funny voice ?

I bet you would get a million views :-)

Ok guys, if you want to hire him FORGET IT

He has received an offer by Cleveland Cavilers and they offered him a full-time job and a house. He also received offers from Fox, MSNBS etc. etc.

  Brother, do you know what viral add are amazing - there's multiple ways to profit - jumping into the arena of big dollar bills and creativeness expressed in adForms only actually costs a few hundred for a half decent video recorder.
  
  The problem is confidence, self belief, the illusion of difficulty - A leader dreams of the viral that will make him millions, consistently striving for it with determination. My brother, imagine, if everybody who was interested would just jump in, get creative, see what type of ad they could make, direct, script, imagine - you could - it's a fun skill, and it can benefit you in all areas of life, to understate it.

God Bless him. I just looked him up online and he has been offered a job and a home.

A caller to the show who said she represented the Cavs, offered Williams a full-time job doing voice-over work for the team and a free home in Cleveland, the New York Post reported."
That took a lot for him to get out there and admit his past problems and then market himself like that. Talk about reaching his target market! May his good luck continue.

It's so nice listening to him in that interview - he's nearly breaking down all of the way through about seeing his ageing mother and things but he keeps it together.

When he 'turns on' the radio voice it's almost like he is speaking into an effects unit, his voice is so different. It seems to come from a different place within him.

The "take home" message for me, after listening to this guy's amazing voice, is that every last jack and jill of us has at least one talent or gift or strength...and usually more than one.

As applied to Internet Marketing efforts, this tells me two things: first, that I need to align what I am trying to do with my strengths so I don't wear myself out trying to do what I'm really not "good at."

And second, we all need each other. Maybe I can write, but I can't draw or design my way out of a paper bag. Maybe you can sell ice in Antarctica but can't put up a website to save your life.

Still, I wish I had this guy's voice!

Ted's story (which will not be over for a long time) is one we as marketers should follow that instead of following the money to where it may lead you ... simply follow your passion. Add the 3 P's to your daily marketing ritual - Passion, Persistence and Patients.

With all the emotional interviews going on about this guy (MTV exec Bobby gets emotional with Ted and makes an offer - see blog) I can't waite til he meets his mother.

I saw this story yesterday on Sky News. They played a short clip from the video and a caption said it was on YouTube. TV exposure of your YouTube video is a sure fire way to send the viewing figures into the stratosphere.

I'm glad things are working out for Ted Williams thanks to all this exposure. It's a shame to see such talent going to waste.

Well, he was a homeless recovering alcoholic begging for money on the streets, and it'd have been hard for any radio station to have taken him seriously at first. It's only due to the helpful samaritan who posted this video on Youtube that he has gotten the recognition which he so richly deserves!
