Success of stackoverflow.com (1M+ monthly visitors)
In case you're not aware of it, stackoverflow is a Questions and Answers style site where questions are ranked and badges are earned.
It works really well for the programming niches since the community is so large - you can get an answer very quickly.
Because of the nature of the site - it is self moderating - SPAM is almost non-existent.
Questions or Answers deemed to be unhelpful. inappropriate can be ranked by the community off the site.
My question is - would this work in the IM arena???
Here's a site I've thrown up:
IM Dash - Internet Marketing Dashboard
For example:
A common question for many IM newbies starting affiliate marketing is:
"How can i cloak my links?"
So they could hopefully find this page useful:
How can I cloak my Clickbank links? - IM Dash - Internet Marketing Dashboard
Not sure what will happen with the site but I'll throw it out there and see if it sticks!
It may become a great resource or it could totally bomb - I figure 2011 is a year for me to do what Edison did with the light bulb....
