If I am Desperate For Money, Will This Plan Work?

Kea55, a while back I bought a really good WSO on making money with Google Trends, from Steve Wagenheim, one of the better-known Warriors here on the Forum. I don't know if he's still offering it, but you might PM him and see.

I actually made a bit with it, but you do have to wait a while sometimes to find and jump on a good Trend...so much of it is pop culture baloney.

It might work to bring a bit of money, but it is a lot of work to keep up with the Trends on a daily basis.

It is also hard to figure out sometimes what you can monetize your site with. If you get a good story with some cool item or CPA offer that goes along well with it, you could make quite a bit. but the next day you have to start with a new story.

I realize some stories might stay hot longer than a day, but some only last a couple of hours.

Don't think anyone suggested it was... it's clear you're stressed since you're in a bind, no worries, we're all here to try to help each other.

If you really are desperate, it depends on your time window. If you need money today, writing stuff and submitting it to ezine articles or something won't help because it can take days for the article to get approved, then you maybe get some clicks and sales, but you've got to wait 30 or 60 days to get paid.

If you are on a shorter time frame, consider selling stuff or doing an odd job for someone that pays right then.

For a little longer term, I get it that you're tired of busting your a** for $5 per article. Can you increase your rates?

If your work is worth more than that you should be able to ask it. You may not be able to ask 5k per page, but you should be able to get more than 5 bucks if your writing is good.

Perhaps if you want to stick with writing you could consider ghostwriting ebooks for people?

You could also consider running a special offer for bundles of articles and crank them out. If you get paid by paypal, it still takes a couple days to get it into your bank account unless you have a paypal debit card, but it might fit your situation.

As mention by other members here, the best alternative is the offline one.

Where you live. Friends, neighbors, family members, church, community groups, government.

Reduce expenses, too.

Depending on what are your needs there are several alternatives:

Clothes: there are many families that have them and some even new and unused and not to be used. Ask.

You have to set aside pride.

Food: have good manners and you will be invited to many homes, parties, weddings, picnics, trips, gatherings, meetings where food is part if the activity. I know people that do this. They even entertain the audience.

If your are desperate, just don't make decisions that could harm other people or yourself. When a person is desperate he/she sometimes makes decisions that later brings remorse.

This works best if you have a reseller hosting account.

1. Pick up your local yellow pages and look through it. Your looking for a local mom/pop or slightly larger company that does NOT have a decent internet presense on the net.

2. Take a local niche like a flower shop, for example. Build a blog around a "flower shop" niche using your unique written content. About 10 articles will do for starters.

3. Send a post card (some will still have e-mail...you'll just have to call them for their addy) to ALL the flower shops listed in the yellow pages. (hint: people that just bought an assumed name for a biz are prime leads for this).

The post card would announce the website and that there is only one availible for that niche. First come...First served. Give them the url to the site and a phone number to reach you. You can also follow up with them (since thier number is in the yellow pages) and introduce yourself and inform them of your mailing and give them the url to the over the phone.

Remember to leave room for backend sales. Like content writing in your case. Writing for offliners pays much better than for the onliners. Also...you can hire yourself out to the buyers for backlinking and off page seo.
