I just set up another blog reviewing guitar packages via amazon(.co.uk). the theme I have chosen includes a small introduction text in the right column along with a picture of my face (obv I uploaded the picture, lol).

I just wondered if this would help to convery trust and aid conversions? I do put thought and effort into my reviews, and my writing has quite a lot of character, so I assume putting a face to a name WILL help.

that said, most affiliate sites are void of this personal touch, so am I doing wrong here?

    At this level, what you are doing sounds good. I agree that practically all affiliate sites lack that personal touch, and what I have found is that including a personal touch helps in a way. So lets hope your conversions shoot up.

    Hi!

    I've been researching on niche sites for sometime now and have yet to see any with their faces on them. Sounds like an idea and do keep us updated on the conversions!

    If you're creating an authority style site that gets updated regularly, it is almost a must to include your photo so people know who they're reading from.

    I really like the idea - though I would put a better picture in there than the one you have now. You look disinterested in the picture. Perhaps a pic in which you are playing guitar, or at least looking at the camera, would have a better effect

    Just had a quick look at your blog. Really interesting and great layout. You may be want to change your pic like you're playing a guitar or something that's more interesting so people know that they are getting their stuff from someone who knows what he writes in his blog :-)
    If can, why don't you post a youtube video where you're playing a guitar. This drives more traffic to your site & it also will help you to gain your trust from your customers. I hope you know how to play the guitar :-)
