When did you first realize that there was more to the Internet?

When did you first notice that there some actual real money to be made online?

I'd say for me, it was in 1998 when I saw the power of Ebay. I first got the Internet back in 1997. I was 12 in 1997, and I just fooled around on the Web.
I got bored one day and thought, "Man, I bet there could be a way to make some dough with this thing".

Then I visited Ebay. I was actually hooked on this thing, I found old Nintendo games, PEZ, old cereal toys, etc.

Then I saw how much people were making from these auctions, and then it clicked. I had money signs in my eyes, like in those Looney Tunes cartoons.

From there on, I was convinced that there was a lot more to this Internet thing.

So, when did you realize that the Internet was a golden opportunity for you?

    I found some forums around the same time, maybe 1999, and there were people buying and selling Hockey Cards. I made a post offering some cards for sale, and people just sent me cash in an envelop and with a letter telling me which cards they were buying.

    It was madness.

    For me it was in 2006 when I was 17 years old. I'd been involved with computers and programming since I was very little and in 2006 I stumbled across on of those really hypey sales pages for a so called "Internet Marketing product". I didn't buy anything but that made me realize that there must be more to the internet than just games and Wikipedia :-) And so I began researching...

        I was looking for a part time job on top of my regular job, and came across an Ezine article, clicked the link to a sales page offering to show me how to get from $0 to $10,000 in 6 months! The rest is history! (Except the $10,000 part)

    When Cable and DSL became popular and less stressful for people to connect to the web and when I bought something online for the first time from a website back when I was 14. I figured, people are doing business online and making money, how can I? Then the journey started slowly from there. I also saw ebay and its potential to earn money.

      It was in 1999 when I taught myself HTML. During that time, in our province, no one knows how to make a website via notepad. I decided to teach myself HTML and other website-related applications. I discovered that there is more to Internet than e-mail, videos, music, and computer games. It began to dawn on me that Internet is an unlimited treasure chest.

    When I was 13 I discovered there were websites that would pay you to surf the web with an ad banner on the bottom of your monitor. Then I realized you could make way more more if you referred people. I must have referred all 400 people in my class.

    The rest was is history. Here I am typing this on the porch of my own home, that's almost paid off. I'm 24. :-)
