Help Needed

Hello Everyone and happy new year to you all. I have an issue that I will need your help with today. I'd love to make the home page of my wordpress a single page without a sidebar. Are there any plugins that can do this?

    I think it depends on the theme as most of the themes I use allows me to do that quite easily without requiring a plugin.

      I don't know of any plugins that do that.

      It typically involves creating a "no side bar" theme page - which would be selected in a drop down menu when you create the page.

      I typically get these created for me when ordering a theme as they are great for pages with TOS, etc.

      You might try putting an ad in the "warriors who want to hire you" area (only 5 bucks) and see if someone can edit a theme page for you to drop the sidebar.

      That's what I'd do anyway.

      I tried editing one myself one time, but kept messing it up a bit.

    Go to the plug-in search column of WordPress site and type in "no side bar" if any plug-in comes up then look check the functions to see if it solves your problem.

      I just checked the default Twenty-Ten Wordpress theme, and under the Editor, you can choose the "One column, no sidebar Page Template." So no need for a plug-in.

      I'm sure the same option is available with many other themes.

        Thank you so very much. I did what you suggested and this is exactly what I needed. The only thing now is that I have to look for other themes that will allow me do thesame thing. The Twenty-Ten Wordpress theme is okay but I'd love to use a different theme. Thanks a again you've solved my issue.
