Hey Warriors,

Today my wife just gave birth to a new addition to our family! A 4lb 13oz beautiful baby boy... He was actually born 4 weeks early, but is completely healthy. I have been through this before but this time it was different.

As I was staring into his eyes I just had this overwhelming sensation of joy and motivation.

You see, I am a full-time marketer (most of you already know that). I make a comfortable living for my family and am so blessed to be doing things in life that I love!

This may not be your typical post that you are used to seeing in this section. I do however feel that people need to read this and think a bit...

Everything we do in life and business has a motive behind it. Sometimes it spawns from a simple idea to one of those moments where it's a "have to" situation. Then, you have those times where it's a because you can type of thing.

For example, I got into internet marketing and made it work because I had to. I needed a career change in something that I could have freedom and earn a great living at the same time. I was the owner of a painting business that was in a downward spiral because the economy and the housing market in the US was in the dumps. I needed money, everyone does and this is what I took a chance on. This was a "have to" situation.

Now...

I am in the situation now where my family depends on me and that drives me. That motivates me to keep going, keep growing, keep the success train on the tracks! I have to keep doing what I do so I can provide my family with everything they need. I do what I do to keep the lights on, the roof over their heads, the food on the table, and the clothes on their back. This is an example of a because I can motive.

Just seeing this helpless newborn baby that depends and is going to depend on me is enough to motivate me and it just solidifies the fact that I don't do this for bragging rights. I don't do this to make myself look good or to flaunt all the cool stuff I have. I do this for my family.

If your still struggling...

You need to identify your motives. Don't do this stuff just because you can make great money... Do this for the fact that you can provide for your family, take stress of your life, buy your first house or car, etc...

Don't go into this career just for the money because there are so many other great benefits to being an online marketer. If you go into this just for the money you are going to have a hard time. You have to identify what you really want to accomplish, not just i.m but for any other business for that fact.

Don't get me wrong the money is essentially what creates the benefits but you can't look at it like that as a whole.

Just sit down and determine what your motives are and you will do just fine. I know most people are in the "have to" situation at this point and that has it's ups and downs, but that is almost the best motivation of all.

No excuses...

Most of you reading this either are already making money or are looking to. Everyday I see people talking about how they can't make money online... Then, they say I have been trying this for two months and haven't made a dime.

Listen, this is not an easy business. It takes a lot of practice, learning, and honing the skills you need. Great step-by-step courses and training can get you on the right path much quicker but you still have to practice, hone, and learn it.

Honestly, you have to be determined to make it! You need to eliminate all the negative thoughts, don't be lazy and do things half-way. Even if you only do just those things you will do great!

Make no excuses! Identify your motivators, get to work and just do it! That is the formula to success.

Bottom line is...

You need a reason to do anything. I knew I was doing this for my family. I just know now that I need to work even harder. I want only the best for my family. I could care less about me...I'm just glad they let me tag along! They are my drive and motivation. I am just fortunate enough to have all this.

I am by no means saying all of this to brag (well, maybe I am bragging a bit about my new baby - lol!) or cram my name in your face. I am saying this so that you know that it is possible to succeed in this business. If I can do it, anyone can! You just have to have the right motivators and frame of mind. It also, doesn't hurt to surround yourself with like-minded, positive individuals.

Once you get that ball rolling... It's hard to stop!

So...

My question is... What motivates you to be in this business? What drives you to succeed? What would being in this type of business do for you and your life?

You don't have to answer here in the thread if you don't want to. I just want you to ponder these questions and build off of that.

Best of luck in business and life!

PS - You can thank the fine people in this hospital for this long ramble of a post. They gave me some kind of nerve pill because I was all up in arms. It made me a bit loopy. Gotta love it!:p

Hey congratulation on that baby of yours, your picture looks great.

I agree you have to stay positive in this business and have goals, It's not an easy business but you can make great money from home. This is why I do it because I want to be close to my family while making money, I work a lot of hours sometimes I work less but I'm constantly thinking about my business and how I can improve it.

Thanks Amy! That pic you see is actually my other little guy. I will post a new one soon!

It's great that you have that positive attitude and you know why you want to do what you do. I work a lot of hours, too! As a part of my new business plan and the new addition I set a work schedule to work a maximum of 46 hard hours of work a week. I'm sure that won't last though!
