    Honestly, I don't think it really has any influence over your rankings at all. Why would it?

    That said, it's always useful (for all parties), I think, if you outline some way, or provide some facility, through which your visitors can contact you, should they need to.

    I don't find any connection between a Contact form and Ranking the site in search engines!!!

    Well, you can submit your site map to search engines but contact us, I don't think it will increase your ranking..

    it's not important for the search engines, but definitely important for your prospective customers to be able to contact you.

    I'd personally never buy anything from a site where I'm not able to contact the vendor with questions or queries etc

      in this case I'm not the vendor, just an affiliate hoping to drive traffic to Amazon. but yea i see your point

    if you are writing in first person, blog style, you could create an about me page
    you still need to gain some sort of trust between your visitors for them to buy your amazon products

    It is never important for search engines.
    It is good to have contact us option enabled to serve your customers satisfactorily.
    Its about trust between you and your visitor but it is not anything related to you and search engine. So dont enable it for search engines rather enable it for your visitors.

      There a huge amount of things that go into the algorithm that decides who is going to rank where in the search engines.

      And nobody that I have ever heard claims to know what all of them are. On the off chance that having all your admin pages filled out would make the difference between even position 9 or 10, I would think it would be to your benefit to put up a contact page.

      And what Kim and others have said, I will stick in my 2c. I don't want to buy something from someone if the contact page is there and does not work.

    In the specific case of ranking for local searches, G can use the physical address info on your contact page as a factor in deciding whether you really should rank for that local search. There are other factors too though.

    Apart from ranking, programs like Google Adsense have certain things they want you to have on your site. There is some argument about whether a contact page is one of those things:

    If you're serious about building an authority site, then you should definitely have a 'Contact Us' page. However I don't think it makes much difference either way for small micro-niche sites.

    When it comes to PPC I think you should have that you will get a better quality score, but when it comes to SEO you don't need it. I have it on all my blogs just because I want people to contact me if anyone has questions plus it looks more professional.
