How can i take payments if my customers dont have credit cards?

hello wariors,

I have been receiving a lot of emails from people on my list
saying they are unable to purchase my product because
they either don't have credit cards or it is a country issue.

They are asking me for other payment options but I myself do
not know.

So anyone willing to shed some light, I will be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

      Your options:

1 - You can offer PayPal - most countries now allow direct bank debit so no credit card is required

2 - You can offer to take cheque payments but I honestly don't think it's worth the hassle

3 - (MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION) Don't worry about these customers - if they can't pay via CC then tell them unfortunately you can't help them.

We regularly take echecks through PayPal, checks, and money orders through the mail for our products.

It's no hassle at all, and a lot of our customers prefer it. So do I. No CC or PP discount and no charge backs. Returns are handled by giving them a company check.

        Biggest no-brainer you can imagine.

An option in the US (not sure about other countries) is a pre-paid Mastercard or Visa.

You can get them at Wal-Mart and gas stations. They are reloadable and work like any other debit card.

Another option (for a one-time payment) is to purchase a Visa Gift card. You can get them at Wal-Mart in $50 and $100 increments.

Accept checks and money orders. Explain that you will have to wait 7 days for checks to clear. I know that is "delayed gratification", but if they really want your product, they will do it.

Now, this next comment isn't directed to folks who live in other countries, but for those in the US, most banks will issue debit cards with the Visa or Master Card symbols on them that allow them to buy immediately from you. If they don't qualify for that for some reason, then you are better off with a money order from them, anyway.

"I can" is much more important than I.Q.

Ask them to sign up with moneybookers and do a wire transfer to you.

You can also ask them to sign up with paypal and do a bank transfer instead of a credit card payment.

You can tell them to open PayPal account to pay you. Or Western Union? But again, as these are country based, you will have problem tracking the receipts. Why don't you tell your customers that to buy your products, they must have a genuine credit card, without which it is not possible to buy? You can skip such buyers who do not have credit card as they may not be reliable. Don't take any risk.
