Affiliate Marketing - How do you add value?

I have a problem with putting up a site that is basically a thin affiliate site … let alone the problems google has with such things. And the main problem is providing value to visitors.

All of us have probably seen the sites that get ranked highly on the search engines for a term we are looking for, go to the site, and see a page of ads or affiliate links. My thoughts towards these types of site generally can't be printed .

But there are a lot of articles/posts that seem to be advocating this type of site as being profitable, auto blogging sites as one example. Are there actually intelligent people that use this type of site to find products?

I am curious how others who are successful affiliate marketers add real value to their sites.

To add real value to your site you must have original content that the user can actually use. Put yourself in the searchers shoes, they are looking for information. If you are just trying to sell your product, readers will see that and leave. If you can actually solve their problem (the reason they're searching in the first place) then you have added value for the visitor. Lets say you're selling diet pills, don't just pitch them that they'll lose weight. Show them how the product has helped you or others, what it can do to change their lifestyle, etc. Benefits then features.

I just spent AGES writing a very long post explaining exactly how I go into niches as an affiliate, create value and generate hundreds of sales very quickly.

I've decided against putting it on here, as I think it belongs in the War Room.

It is probably the best post I've ever written, if I submit it to the War Room and it gets accepted I should get at least a 100 thanks for it and loads of compliments.

On here is too risky, it might not take off and I'll be very upset if I only get around 10 thanks for such a great post

Then why mention it here . But I'll keep my eyes open in the War Room to see if it gets posted.

The more I'm learning about this whole thing, it seems like affiliate sites are little more than disguised sales letters (not said to insult anyone.)

So right now, I'm just trying to get my head around the concepts.

Giving away bonuses thats worth more than the actual product worked really well for me. Auto blogging can be very effective if done right, but when I see ads over saturate the whole site, it makes me want to leave and find something that might be better.
