How Many Ways Can I Cloak My Affiliate Url Link & Where Can I Go Get That Tool To Cloak My Links ?

By cloaking my links will this protect my commissions from other marketers replacing their affiliate links with my own, or is there still away marketers can replace my affiliate link with their own despite my cloaking ?

Is the tiny url a cloaking tool do not understand what it is ?

    You can use a plug in called pretty link if you are using wordpress

    WordPress › Pretty Link (Lite Version) « WordPress Plugins

    Cloaking your affiliate links is a great way to protect your affiliate commissions.

    Services like tinyurl also can be used for this purpose.

      I'd stay away from third party services. I'd much rather implement cloaking on a domain and hosting that I control. Another quick way to cloak a link would be to buy a domain name and redirect it, ensuring that you enable domain masking.

          Hey guys ...

          Great feedback for those of you whom are not sure about hijacking our commissions it is real and alive !

          So fight back guys for those of you whom are new to this form of online commissions robbery, cloaking your ID is the answer to stop them for now till they figure out how to do it anyway........hummm that sucks the idea lol

      One of the best methods of cloaking your links it to setup a PHP redirect on a website you own. For more information you can do a google search for php redirect.

    I have seen folks here using bit.ly and I fell in love with it.

    I use it.

    Is it safe? I don't know but I just love it.

    I have also heard of a .php script you can upload to your site which can cloak your affiliate link but I have not tried it. Maybe that will be the next thing I have to try.

    Hi, i've heard this question before, and if i personally use tinyurl.

    However, i don't really understand the reason behind clocking an affiliate link to prevent other marketers from replacing it with theirs and steal your commissions.

    Let's say i have a website. Visitors at my website clicks on my affiliate link and if they decides to purchase, i get the commission. How would other marketers change the affiliate link on my website?

    Shed some light, somebody.

        Oh! So what stealers do is that they 'hack' into my site to replace my affiliate link with theirs without me knowing.

      The best URL shortening service to track click-throughs and conceal affiliate links is any one that you own and control yourself.

      To put it mildly, it's not sensible at all to rely on the continued availability, goodwill, reliability and changeable terms of service of any third-party URL-shortening service.

      There were a few hundred Warriors here last year who would have told you the same (and in fact did) when all their Tinyurl links suddenly disappeared overnight.

      And if anyone tells you that "bit.ly's not going anywhere", and "has good customer service", just invite them to read this recent post on Ben Metcalfe's blog: The .ly domain space to be considered unsafe | :Ben Metcalfe Blog.

      For $5 you can go to Fiverr and have someone install your own cloaker/tracker on your own hosting, even if you don't know how to do it yourself. Be in control of your own business and not dependent on unnecessary third-party services you can't control!

        Pretty Link is working great for me. The possibilities are endless and it saves you bucko bucks on forwarding.

        You can get one generic domain and redirect to many affiliate links. It is a pretty site.

        You can google PHP redirect and learn how to set up your own forwarding and or cloaking, but why? Pretty link is cool.
