What ways can marketers benefit from advertising in Ezines located in Directory Of Ezines ?

    The effectiveness of DOE publishers for advertising is depends on a number of factors, including the type of ads used, quality of the publication, size of subscriber database, etc. Personally, I have fared best when I have used Solo ads as opposed to ads within the ezines themselves. In a number of instances, Solo Ads have helped me build email lists.

    On the negative side, when I have tried using ezines with low cpm rates, when I have closely tracked my referral sources, I sometimes see safelist referrals as a szeable number. My conversion rates are pitifully low in those instances. So you must test the ezines you use before doing a big rollout to see if their subscribers are totally legitimate.

    Bottom line: DOE can help you target your advertising based on the demograpics of magazines in its database, but be sure to test first. Solo ads seem to offer the best testing and advertising mechanism for publications in the DOE database.

      Solo ads are fine, but many DOE ezine publishers also welcome JV offers. In addition, they are always looking for articles. This means absolutely free advertising. The publisher contact info is a goldmine itself, and well worth the membership cost.
