| Hi All, I just had a Duh moment. A Duh moment is like an Aha moment on steroids. I was just reading a thread in which someone made the statement for the zillionth time (not the same person of course, many have said it before) as I was saying someone made the statement... (paraphrased) "Gurus who sell How To Make Money products and Internet Marketing products 'hide' the real niches that they make their big money in." True, they probably do. However my Duh moment revealed to me in a flash what those million dollar moneymaking niches are. They are....... Drum roll please...... Dogs Cats Birds Grapefruit Real Estate Health Products Lipstick run Clothes Eggs Hot Dogs Computers eBay Dirt Water Earth under the mattress Wind Fire Telephones Grass Coat Hangers Paper Coffee Big Feet Dolls Flashlights Radios Dust Tea My Space Soap Finger Nails Fans Coins News Weather And every other noun, verb, prepositional phrase, and adjective in Webster's Dictionary! Now the job is to find the hungry market for any of the thousands of niches we know about or can do research on. Or is it the other way around? Which came first, the chicken, (13,600,000 Google Searches) or the egg, (4,090,000 Google Searches)? Duh George Wright |

George, This kind of laser pointing your topic and relates in regards to the DUH moment you just had. I just had one too a "DUH" moment that is. Someone should write an ebook How to Shop at Walmart. I would now like to coin the term "Sub-Niche" markets. Taking advantage of other business that have a loyal following and creating a niche for their followers. Some other examples would be -Determining the best Starbucks Coffee -How to write a great post on the Warrior Forum -Finding What You Want on Google This is a pretty good secret I am passing along here let's see if some Warrior's can take advantage. |

You're both nuts But I'm researching the coat hangers niche - or should I break it down into sub niches?

Rosetrees, That would be a great "sub-niche." For example, Best Hangers for Polos or Hangers That Work Well With J Crew |

Well, one thing is correct; many Gurus are hiding the niches they are making their big money in. Many times they tell you outright that they aren't letting anybody know what those niches are.

I am with you here. I once signed up for a program that said that we could turn the money on and off at will. And in all of the video sales pitches, there was a statement that one of the program originators friends was able to triple their earnings with a single keyword in an adwords ad, but even after purchasing the program, they NEVER said what that keyword was. Imagine that. I shortly asked for a refund as the program did not live up to the mile long sales letter and videos had implied. Austin | |

Let's be real ... 99% of the IM "gurus" only make money selling "how to make more money online" products. Period. End of story.

This is funny, George. Tonight feeling totally overwhelmed, with what I am trying to do online, and what I am expected to do in the kitchen, I started cleaning out my pantry. I got about half done, ran out of steam and sat down at the computer. I went to google and typed in "finish what you have started" no quotes. I was startled to see in the drop down suggestion box that that term had been searched over 43 million times. I guess I am not the only one that talks to google about how I am feeling. LOL. Laurie, Not that this has anything to do with keywords, just thought you might get a chuckle out of it. |

Hi George, I like to home in on over-proven niches, that have been highly targetted and whittled down to only leave the extremely important ones. Here are a few of my favourites, just to get started - eBay - Nonfiction Books, CDs, DVD, HD DVD Blu-ray items on eBay.com Amazon.com--Earth's Biggest Selection http://www1.shopping.com/xSN Like a laser |
