WSO Pro advanced features

Is there any documentation on how the WSO Pro advanced features work?
I'd like to have WSO Pro send a buyer's PayPal IPN to my server, and I see there's an advanced option for that, but I can't find any doc on how that works.

Does it call my URL and pass the IPN somehow? Can I test that before launching my WSO to make sure my server responds correctly?

I'd also like WSO Pro to call my key generation URL and retrieve the results. But what format should my results be in? HTML? Do those results get pasted into an email somewhere? Can I pass back a username and password for the user? Can I see this in action before launching?

Thanks!

    Nope.

Seriously, I'd love to see docs on that myself.

    You need to contact http://www.warriorforum.com/members/mike-lantz.html

I think he's got the answer to any WSOPro question.

Added notes now that I've had some coffee. My day is hectic, sorry I didn't do this earlier.

Yes. Standard POST request, as I recall. Handling IPN is well-documented at PayPal.

WSO Pro will not retrieve anything. It calls your URL, and doesn't do anything. Your own script at that URL is responsible for EVERYTHING you want done. If you want an email sent, your script has to send it.

You know, I should mess around with this a little and try to put together some docs on it.

That's very helpful - thanks. It still leaves me with questions, sadly!

For example... the POST request would pass the IPN in some named field, right? But what is the name? I would love to just try it out and see for myself, but how do I do that? Pay to run a test WSO?

Also, next to the key generation URL, the WSO pro listing page says...
"Enter the URL of your key generation script and WSO Pro will send its output to the user"

which is why I assumed that WSO Pro would retrieve my data. Also, if I publish a URL that sends out username/password info, what is to stop someone from just calling that URL (independent of WSO Pro) and getting themselves a free account?

      My head is spinning...

I did try to PM Mike 3 days ago, but haven't gotten a response yet. Hopefully he'll weigh in shortly.

It's not some named field. It's a whole stack of them. You need to read the IPN developer docs at PayPal.

Hm. Must be something new. I'd expect it wants the results in text/plain or text/html MIME type.

Don't know. Mike's the right person to ask about this stuff, but there's no easy documentation area for it. You sort of have to play around until it works for you.

It's actually nothing to do with the Warrior Forum - you need to speak to Mike about it.
