...bookmark every thread you find useful especially the "all-in-one", "how to" and "101" threads. Chew and swallow whatever you think you need there.

Go back to them anytime you need a reminder.

Come back here to ask questions if you are somehow confused or need more explanation.

This idea helped me and I hope it helps you too.

Lazy, thanks for coming to chat last night.

I would add that once you bookmark a great resource like King Shiloh is recommending, go back to those bookmarked pages once in a while.

    LOL

Even I have pages bookmarked that I have not looked at since I made the bookmark.

Great stuff! This tip can eliminate the dreaded 'information overload' that many newbies face at some point (and sometimes give up).

    Bookmark, and TAKE ACTION!

Reading and studying may seem like a great idea but you shouldn't focus more than 30% of your online time doing so. Spend time taking action and getting your feet wet, everyone makes mistakes at some point.

The nice thing about these great threads is they sort of take on a life of their own, and you see interesting viewpoints and information added to them on a regular basis.

If a thread is really good, you might want to consider saving the thread as a PDF, so you can print it out and/or read it even when you're offline. Remember that threads are not as 'permanent' as you may think, and sometimes they can get deleted, so if you find that the thread has really valuable content, remember to save it!
