The question is what traffic is the search engine sending not what page/position.

You could have a keyword that get no searches.
You could have a keyword that is hard to monetize.

It's going to be tough to get any specific help if you can't be more specific about just what you're doing - though I can understand you not wanting to tell the world what you're up to.

There are some excellent WSOs about SEO though - some only $10 or $15 that might be worth the investment if you think you're stuck and don't know why.

Depends on the supply and demand factor. Also, You think your keyword
should get buys but then again how many prospects have viewed your offer?

Look, Sometimes you get chickens and sometimes you get feathers. Are you
testing and tweaking what you are doing?

If the results you're seeing bouncing around are from Google then expect
them to bounce up and down until your site deserves the stable position.

You can look at it like you've dropped a ball into a pool of water. The ball
enters the water, sinks, returns near to the top, sinks again and begins to
          average out.

Keep building backlinks from related sites and writing articles that point to the site.

Yes, It takes time although the foundation you will build can carry the site
for many years to come earning you recurring income from sales.

That's about all I'll say considering that you gave us nothing to work with inorder
          to help you.

          Hope that helps,
          Have a Great Day!

Are you still writing? Can you get some writing jobs to keep some money coming in while you're building up these sites

We can help, but please answer the following questions:
    1. How many visits a day?
    2. Are you monetizing your site via AdSense, through an affiliate product, or both?
    3. How many sales and/or ad dollars are you making per month at this point?

Knowing these three factors, it will be a bit easier for us to guess where the problem is:
    1. Case A: You don't have enough traffic
    2. Case B: Your theme keyword is hard to monetize

It's also important to set expectations right. How much money would you expect to earn from this one site? $100/1,000/10,000 a month? For micro-niches, $100 is very doable, $1,000 is doable but only if you know what you are doing. $10,000 is very rare.

I'm in kind of the same boat as you. :/ Just cant figure out the "why" and "when" of it. I'm ranking well on both Bing and Yahoo for my top keyword but Google (the only search engine that is indexing my site every single day) is refusing to budge!

    Uggghhh!

Here's what is working for me:

Social media sites (Twitter, Digg, Yahoo Answers, some blogs) are getting me a healthy dose of traffic every day. You might want to try. Its hard work esp. if you are responsible for the content too.

I'm oscillating between one day of writing and one day of link/social media presence building. That way I don't get completely sick of the rinse, repeat thing.

    Bon Chance!
    Don't give up.

Yes, it does take a while and unfortunately while the process is often the same, the time that you get results is often different.

It is also possible that your site will change position again and it is also possible that other people see it on page one.

You have got the pieces in place and this is not the time to stop thinking you can succeed, it is the time to say that you will do what you need to do to bring that success to you.

I wouldn't depend just on Google. There are so many other traffic generating methods other than SEO. You should take advantage of them.

This is what I was going to say.

Give video marketing, article marketing and so forth a try. Try to go where the traffic is directly. Produce really cool youtube video's and try to get those ranked as well.

This can, depending on the situation, be easier sometimes than your site for various reasons.

Also, consider StumbleUpon paid ad's. I didn't catch the niche, but for certain niches, Stumbleupon can be great. 5 cents a view, specific demographics and interests.

If you are sending people to a blog, it should get accepted. (as long as it's not big in promotion)

Finally, are you building a list?

20 visits a day is enough to start selling to - if the people are targeted correctly.

Assuming you can get a 30% sign up rate, that's 6 people on a list a day. Multiply that by 30 and you get a 90 member list. You can sell to those people.

And it just add's up really fast.

The domain was only registered 8 weeks ago - not exactly forever. More importantly, the site is not compelling when I visit it. Large images with small text in gray that kind of winds around the images.

The product reviews are not clearly separated and the site is busy. The links are the same color as the text but underlined and not clearly links to someone not used to sites.

I do not see a privacy page or an affiliate disclaimer.

How long are visitors staying on the site?

That's my point - if a visitor is only there for 1 minute or less - he's not reading the text. Instead, he may be rejecting the site as not what he's looking for. It's true there's a lot of work involved in getting backlinks and getting ranking, etc - but remember the focus of all that effort is the usefulness and info quality of the SITE you are sending people to.

For example, if I were going to make a site on "heaters' I'd be grouping the products by price or by type. I would either have a small site based on one popular type of heater or one that features several heater categories with multiple product options in each category.

As for the CSS - that's how I change link colors but my sites are html sites so on a blog I don't know. Sorry, can't help with that part.

Been reading through this thread, and I'm surprised someone hasn't said anything about your mindset. You can't jump into this IM thing thinking that you should see money "by now". Making money in IM is very difficult and unpredictable, and there isn't a certain "time" to make money. It comes when it comes. Don't fall for that crap that says that you should see money within "the next 24 hours" or whatever. And if you're sick and tired of being broke, IM will NOT get you out of it quickly. It takes work and patience.

With the mental aspect out of the way, I had a look at your site and I must say that the product reviews aren't compelling enough in my eyes. They look all "Buy buy buy!" and not really providing any value. It sounds like something ripped off a sales pages. Allow Amazon to do the selling - they're good at that. I would search the forums around here for more information on how to write product reviews, though a basic formula is this:

    Introduction
    Features And Benefits
    Pros And Cons
    Who The Product Is For
Why They Should Buy The Product
    Real Reviews
    Conclusion

All of that with your affiliate links sprinkled in. I personally outsource it all myself, as it would be a major PITA to research the product in depth. Takes about two to three hours per product.

Oh yeah, make sure your keyword research techniques are up to par and your SEO and backlinking efforts are right. That is another ballgame that I don't wanna get into at the moment because I am yawning every five minutes haha. Not from reading this thread, but because I'm sleepy and I'm surprised I haven't made a typo.

But whatever you do - DON'T GIVE UP!

First of all, very nice site. I would work on it, though. Try tweaking it to make it look nicer, do full reviews on specific heaters. I make the best sales through Amazon when I have very high quality content and reviews.

Don't throw in the towel! As far as keywords.. just because it's a good keyword doesn't mean that's what the buyers are searching. Try targeting some very product specific keywords, as in brand names and types of electric heaters.

    Hope that helps.

Your site is attractive and the articles are really great.

Maybe it's just me but I like to change up the print and pictures by moving every other picture to the right. That way there's more variety on the page. Also part of an article on the front page would be nice. Then they can read a little and then look at the heaters.

There's a lot of excellent SEO advice on this forum.

    Best Regards,

      Your site is beautiful
But I think the keyword here is you should find the right keywords to base your article upon. Write articles containing buyers keyword.
You can get these keywords by variations of product models, product colors, product sizes, products specific names etc...try varying this keywords and you should get sales.

But the real keyword here is to be patient.....

PS: I have a review site for amazon products which were built exactly 14days ago. This morning I checked my account and I have customers who already made 2 orders via my affiliate link. For your info my site is rank page 3 for the targeted keyword. I think one of my articles have sent this customer to my website. My article ranked pg 1 google for the targeted keyword. So article marketing is the way to go....

I think you site looks fairly decent, and has the proper content for it to rank on the first page of Google. Now what you want to do is concentrate on building backlinks, make videos, etc. to push it up to page 1. Look at how many and what type of backlinks your competitors have on page 1, then just implement more backlinks of the same type to get ranked higher.

I feel the need to make a point here though - it sounds like you need money quite desperately, but unfortunately with Amazon sites they're really not going to generate quick cash for you. A trickle may come in at first, and sales will build as you improve your content and rankings, but your affiliate payments are going to take at least 1-2 months to arrive in your hand.

In other words, what I'm trying to say is that if you need money quickly, you had better think of other ways to generate it besides your Amazon sites.

You're on the bottom of page two for a keyword that has 11,000,000 competing web pages. Please don't hold your breath waiting to 'get paid'. You should though, congratulate yourself on your current position and continue to work 'quality' into all aspects of that site until you get the ranking you desire.

    Good luck.
