Blogging makes money on not?

This thread is to answer this question whether blogging makes your money or not. Someone connected with me through skype today, he read my blog and wanted to know is online money earning is for real?

I know there are many newbie people out there who have this question. When you are willing to dedicate some time, you must be clear that this will sure make some real cash at the end.

My answer is a big YES and fellow WF friends here can explain this even better than me.

Another question was about blogging, does blogging makes money or not?

My answer for this is actually blogging doesn't makes any money. But it helps you to have new opportunities to make money.

One example is:

Mr. John is a contractor. He decided to start a blog with tips on Do It Yourself home repairs. He posted helpful articles which were guided step by step so any one with some effort can do self home improvements.

This helped people and they told their friends about it; search engines sent new readers as the blog was having new content.

Then John decided to put a "SERVICES" page where he would put his contact info and offer home repair services. Some of John's regular readers contacted John and hired him to do the work. Now just because he is writing good helpful info for a long time, the readers started to trust him as an expert and they are more willing to get his help on that specific subject.

So you can see that the blog here didn't paid him directly but helped him earn money through the loyal readers who become customers.

So over to you friends, does blogging really makes money or not?

Blogging makes money, but it is a gradual process with a lot of hardwork and dedication. You will need to build loyal readers with interesting contents on your blog and make sure to answer their questions and concerns so they keep coming back

The right way to make a blog way is content, description of blog, adsense, the products you are promoting, a resource area, email opt in box and if you like, you can always sell it to make a profit after some time!

There are many tools and it really depends which tools u pick!

Blogging does actually make money. In your example the blog did not directly make the money for the contractor, but it served as means of advertisement.

Now, if John would have added Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliate products to his blog he would have made more money. This money would have came directly from his blog.

Imagine if your the contractor, you post step by step instructions how to put in a kitchen sink. These people go out, buy the sink and follow your instructions. They are not going hire you because they just did the job themselves. The ones that will hire you, are those that have bigger and harder jobs that need to be done. No money made from the little jobs. But, with Adsense and Amazon Affiliates or any other Affiliate program money is to be made from every single visitor to your blog.

    Just my opinion.

      Totally agree with gvannorman.

Moreover, if youer visitors percieve you as an expert, you can create needs and succesfully pitch for these need afterwards.

For example, someone who has a blog about dating can make a post about how fit guys are much more succesful with women and sell some fitness products.

In my opinion, any online content is capable of generating some income.

The X-factor is driving the traffic to it!

Therefore my conclusion is that blogging does make money.

If you want to make real money with a blog you need to be an expert, or clever enough to appear to be one.
If you are not an expert but at least have some knowledge and above all are passionate about your subject and make your passion shine through visitors will know this and over time you will build up a loyal following, then you can make some good money if you are in the right niche.
If you are looking at a blog as a way of making a living I would think twice, as the fact remains there are better ways of doing it.

Blogging for sure makes money, and I use blogs for targeting low competition keywords, or even targeting niche markets that is not on the radar for most people.

Things like "speed cleaning" and other crazy stuff!

Even though it is true that there are better ways to make a living. I believe that there are people who do make a living with niche blogs.

They do however have more than one blog going at a time. Remember if you can build a blog and a make it profitable then you can sell it. I happen to be taking Amy Bass's Niche Blog Course and then I will be able to know for sure if money is to be made with blogging.

      Or....

      You could be highly entertaining...

      You could be very funny.....

      You could be controversial....

You could be an average Joe Blow who does a good job of reviewing products from a normal person's perspective....

You could be a great commenter on other people's content, adding value from your perspective, but not be the true expert...

Adding value which makes people want to keep reading your blogs, email, posts, articles, is not always about being "the expert", it is always about providing something of value...two vastly different things.

They are good comments Barry, and I wouldn't disagree, the point is whatever path you take do something that you have great interest in and success will eventually follow.

Of course blogging makes you money and real lot of cash if you want but all lies in the content.

If you have that is filled up with relevant content, then you will for sure make money whether you like it or not. All you need to do is monetize the blog with adsense or any other means that you may think of.

Hi, above info is just a small example of a person who may not know about adsense/affiliate or don't want to advertise; but still it has become profitable for him by another mean.
