How do I get rid of the tabs and make my page 'static' in wordpress?

I know how to make a static page and I've done that but I want to get rid of the tabs for different parts on the website.

Instead I want one static front page then links to each different section centered in the text on that front page. Subsequently I will want a similar hierarchy on each of those pages it leads to.

So a front page and a list with clickable links within the text to each different category on the front page then when they click through to the categories more links to individual posts/products etc.

How would I do this?

You can create the page you want and then make it a 'page template' in WP - then just make a blank WP page and use that template - you'll get exactly what you're after.

There' a piece of code you can take out. Go to the APPEARANCE tab on the left side of your admin page and click EDITOR. Then go to the right side of that page and find HEADER. There's a portion of the code to delete and it will remove tabs. But what theme are you using? Im not familiar with many themes sorry if i cant help more. BUT making static pages is easy. On the left side of the main admin page go to SETTINGS tab and click READING. There should be a button to click at the top of the page that says :Front page displays: then you should click the button that says STATIC PAGE. That's it. Good luck with it
