Can't Seem to Connect To Server Using Filzilla

Hey Folks,

I can't seem to connect to my cpanel server I keep getting a cannot connect message (this has been for days), I'm by no means a techie but I can upload files to my server using Filzilla no problem, I load up now themes and plugins often so I no how to connect, I can log in to my cpanel no problem.

Does anyone no why this can be? I really need to load up some wordpress sites and need access, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be a big help.

    So you have been able to log in before, and this is just a recent problem? without you changing the log in details or anything?

    you could log in before perfectly?

      Well it's been a while since I logged in but I don't think my login details have changed between then. Although I have had to download filezilla again (and most programs) as my computer had to be reset, although that shouldn't matter.

      I no my main domain, my login name and my password that should be all I need to access, right?

    Your ftp user name and password are not necessarily the same as your cPanel login.
    Might want to just create a new ftp user/password

    Also, if you use a local firewall make sure it's not blocking ftp.
    You can disable it to test.

      I can access my FTP client but it just won't connect to my server, like I said I no my login details to my cpanel, but when I enter my Host address, Name and password I can't access, all the info I need to enter in to my FTP to connect to my cpanel should be the same details I use to login to cpanel, correct?
