Default Questions on Ebooks, Advice?

How many pages 'should' an ebook be? I've seen everything from 3 to 256 pages and more.

Whats a good 'medium' as it were, or whats considered the optimal number of pages or words?

Whats the best use of graphics? Whats too much?

Do I need all the copyright info I've seen in some books? (as much as a full page of it) Or can I write enough to cover me and move on with the real content?

I'm trying to write my own ebooks, on several subjects I know of, and was just wondering if you guys could help me out a little, maybe share some advice.

How long is a piece of string?

The length of your ebook depends upon your field, niche and in how much depth you want to cover.

If it's a no fluff, implement immediately marketing guide you could probably cover it in 9 to 50 pages. If on the other hand you're writing a technical, step by step how to manual then obviously your ebook would be 50 plus pages.

The average number of words for ebooks is around the 20,000 to 50,000 words (depending upon font size, spacing 40 to 100 pages), although it's not set in stone.

I've bought ebooks for $47 that were only 9 pages long and ebooks that I've purchased for $97 and were 185 pages, and everything in between and as long as the content is worth the price I'm happy to pay for it.

Use graphics, it gives your content more variation and keeps your readers engaged longer. I would probably have a graphic for every 3rd to 5th page just to keep it visually interesting. People respond to images and as they say a picture really is worth a thousand words.

I would do the full copyright, disclaimer thing just to cover your basis.

Write what you know. Good luck.

Another piece of advice: Go with pdfs. These formats are accepted by many users. Recently one of my friend bought a exe ebook creator and his customers asked him for whether pdf format available ...

There are many pdf software that you can password protect or brand it with your company logo etc.
