A Truly Killer Product

The story goes like this

I had been thinking of a killer product. Here was the outline of its appeal.

It appeals to people's desire to get rich.
Then it appeals to people's desires to have much more free time to relax/be lazy.
Then it appeals to people's desire to get things free or at its lowest cost.

It couldn't possible miss. It was pure gold.
I only had one problem. Although it could appeal to people's desire to get rich it couldn't actually make them rich if I kept all three appeals. In fact it was GUARANTEED to kill any opportunity of them getting rich.

So I decided to scrap it and offer a product that could make them rich with a bit of work. However it didn't make them rich either because

......people refused to buy it without all three appeals.

My friend saw my product, took it and added the appeal I refused on principal to add to it.

He added the appeal that people never like to stop dreaming

He added testimonials that my product did in fact work and would work for everyone that gave it enough time to work. He pointed to the slightest success the product had (even though it didn't make anyone much money) as proof that it would ultimately work and he made sure that the people who bought it would think it was their fault the product didn't work to allow them to keep believing in the dream.

THE RESULT: More people made money from his programs than mine

because they bought it and even random luck can make some people money.

Most people however never made a dime but my friend transferred a lot of cash to his pocket. In fact he did so well in convincing people that they could have all three appeals come true in their life that he spawned a whole group of people selling the same kind of product.

If you want to you can too. the idea is simple to modify.

What was my product?

My product was a button/buttons you can click to get either traffic, secrets that will automatically make you rich or ton load of sales. take your pick.

Why do I still call my friend my friend?

He didn't create my problem. He actually bought the second product I came up with where others wouldn't. He doesn't believe in the fantasy or dream. he works pretty hard selling it though.

Two kinds of people reading this and one group is the group that wouldn't buy my product that works - strictly because it didn't have the three appeals. You still won't because BEFORE you ever clicked the first button at the end of a sales pitch you were addicted to the fantasy that will never make you a dime. You've been buying those "click this" products ever since. From the first time you got the thrill of indulging the fantasy you were hooked and you keep on looking for it believing it really does exist.

and thats the only part of the story that I didn't make up. That and the fact that there are a whole pile of products that could really make you money that will never be finished because sellers know you won't break out of the fantasy.

At least Santa Clause was real if you call him Saint Nick. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.
