Flash vs. JScript Slideshow

INTERNET MARKETING

Is there any SEO or performance benefit to have one or the other?

On a WP site, I installed a slideshow plugin which uses JS and JQuery, though wondering if the same slideshow in flash would have any measured significance over it.

What are your thoughts?

With the jQuery search engines will be able to read the alt tags of the images whereas with flash I don't think they would. Also if done right jQuery would degrade better than flash so browsers without support aren't completely stuffed

I'd definitely recommend the Jquery over flash if you can do it.

jquery has a lot of advantages including SEO, load times and browser compatibility.
