Sales from projects you've forgotten about

INTERNET MARKETING

I do a lot of niche marketing and have tons of articles and sites out there. Some projects take off and some don't. When you have so much stuff out there it is easy to forget about some of it.

However I love when I'm reminded of my past work when a sale comes in from out of the blue. It just brings a smile to my face when it happens, no matter how small the commission is.

Ha ha. I agree here. I get a lot of random amazon sales that i don't know where their coming from. Tracking was never high on my priorities

Exactly! When I first started out I didn't track anything, so I have old stuff all over the place. I've learned since then, but still love the little commission surprises every once in awhile.

I had an odd sale one time from a page I had mostly deleted. The title and the linked header were still up. All the rest was just an apology that I wasn't going to be selling this anymore because of a disagreement with the owner of the product.

Somebody clicked the header and bought the product

I promptly put a little more effort into resolving the dispute with the guy that owned it and made about $600 from that page while the product was still hot.
