Hands down best place to get FREE images & Audio

Hey everyone

I have been looking for images and audio to use on my little niche videos...

I have found some on here but when I search for my required images or audio they dont have much choice..

I guess I could pay a small amount but I need hundreds of images for each niche..

What do you guys use?

    I use sxc.hu for a lot of images on my niche sites.
    they're pretty good.

      This for sure^^^

      but flickr is also a good source of better pictures sometimes. most of the photos there are creative commons licensed to use if you attribute a link

      if you want to go the paid route (i know you dont) go for istockphoto or getty images

    For small quantities, I usually find what I need on Wikimedia / Wikimedia Commons and public domain pages. Have you tried running a search for public domain images free?

    Some stock photo sites provide a small collection of free images as well. Sorry, don't have any names for you because I lost the links.

      I haven't use any of these other sites. But I've also been to lucky to find the pictures i need from the Wikis -Wikipedia.

        Does Wikipedia provide free images. I haven't heard of that.

      Hassle-free? Hm. I think if you want free you're going to have to work to find them.

      On the other hand, if you're willing to pay you will get there that much faster. Yes, it would be expensive.

      You could try looking for free PLR images or free PLR in general. I've come across several that included graphics.

      Oh. Here's an idea and something I use that I, oddly, forgot. :rolleyes:

      I purchased a package of images - 300,000 - by MasterClips. Got it from the local computer supplies / software store. I find a lot of useful ones in there and the pack wasn't all that expensive. I might have bought it in Staples, (formerly Business Depot here) but this store doesn't carry as much as they did under their old name.

    I hate to rain on your parade mate, but the bottom line is that quality photography and music creation takes a lot of talent, expertise, time and expense so there's really no way of getting loads of it for free.

    You can get some free stuff, but not heaps and heaps, not at top level quality, and it won't be hassle free.

    Here's my list of free image resources, and believe me, I've spent years looking:

    Veezzle, the ultimate free stock photo resource

    Public Domain Images

    Mayang's Free Texture Library

    Icon Search Engine - Download 300,770 Free Icons, PNG Icons, Web Icons


    Sounds are much harder because you just can't create them without first buying software, microphones, instruments etc.

    This is about the best, but there's not much around: FindSounds - Search the Web for Sounds

    Then there is also Royalty Free Stock Music & Stock Audio - AudioJungle

    The have a free file for members each month. Their music is the best quality to price ratio I've seen on the web.

    The other option is you buy ready made videos so you can save on some of the creation expenses, and have them modified: http://videohive.net/
