Domain&Hosting with SEO friendly

hey guys do you think you have to buy domain and hosting from american company if you want to make website with target market for US visitor?

since I don't have any credit card so I plan to buy hosting domain from indonesia company but friend of mine who was born as SEO guru said I got to buy hosting and domain from server that located same with my target market.

I'm new here so I need your suggestion to start this business. I started to learn this internet marketing after read book from Tim Ferriss. I can say this is my first day for jumping in this business and already have good niche to start then my next goal is to find good domain name and hosting while I'm designing my site and create good and unique content.

    Well I frankly have no idea whether IP location has anything to do with SEO, although it seems quite plausible, but here's a good point why you should choose a host and registrar from the same location as your target market:

    When you change the Domain Name Records of any domain from the registrar's site or the hosting site, the servers closest to those DNS servers get the updated values of the records first, and then it spreads over the WWW.

    Now, if you expect to have to change things multiple times, it is better to do as your friend suggests.
