Where to go to get paid for freelance article writing?

Hey guys, I'm in need of a job(a check I was receiving has officially come to an end). I need to find a place to go where I can write articles to make money. I'm willing to work as hard as I have to to make money doing this. I just need to know of a reliable place to go that will not rip me off. Or pay me chicken scraps.

The freelance marketplaces like odesk, elance, rentacoder are popular place for short term contract hookups, developing a good reputation, with positive comments from previous clients is very helpful, if your a native English speaker, be sure to emphasize it in your resume. Some get more direct payment through associatedcontent.

ODesk and ELance are popular ones. If you want to get more gigs but get paid less, you can also try sites like Fiverr and GigBucks.

  Depending on your level of expertise and training, you might find something in these sites. Some offer more professional jobs than others. The first one, blogit.com invites all levels of writers, so I'd start there. These are sites that have been around for some time. I've obtained work from #2 but they've changed since then, but it might be suitable for you.
