The Right Mindset
Having the right mindset is vital to being successful in internet marketing. In order to get the right mindset, you need to get out of your comfort zone. Your comfort zone makes you feel a sense of similarity, and it also makes you scared of change.
If what you are doing right now (your permanent job for example) does not make you happy, then you need to change it. In order to make this change, you must get out of your comfort zone; don't be afraid to try something new, it's not going to kill you. However don't throw your job away, you will use it as a support. Once you are earning enough from your online business, then you can discard your job.
Take control of your time, it is the most precious commodity we have. There have often been times when I have set a time for me to work on my sites and do something specific only to be approached by a family member with a question (which ends up taking 30 mins). This causes me to fall back by 30 mins, no big deal right? Add up more of these distractions over the whole month and the result is several lost hours of work; hours whch could have been spent developing your product, or writing a better upsell offer, one time offer, etc.
Get your family to understand that the time you spend at working at home is important, and cannot be interrupted even for the most simple question. Shut your door if you need to. At the same time, make sure you schedule time to spend wth your family, and stick to these times. Your family will not be neglected and you will get that much more work done. The same goes for your friends.
