How do you make forums popular?

I want to make a forum, but I feel like it's one of the hardest things to be successful at. If you don't have a lot of posters, and someone goes to your forum, they will probably leave.. I heard there is some service where people will post for you? I think SEO is pretty important as well

    You can get some 'ghost' posters to set up some accounts and start posting. You can get 20, 40 or even 100 posts a day, from say 10-20 New users.

    There are companies who do this, who charge on a 'per post' basis, but in 3-4 months you can boost up your forum posting.

      And you will also need moderator, so you won't get spammed, added to your shop basket, because no one will do it for free

        No but for quality posts, i don't think it will be too cheap, but neither will it be too expensive. Depends on your budget.

        (its like article writing, if you want good written articles you have to charge $5-$10 per article)

        you can follow that link for more info / and i like what this guy is doing as he is taking a blank forum from the ground up which is no easy task / while he is adding content i am able to sort the permissions and settings, plus i was hopeless at talking to myself as several altered personalities.

        there is also fiverr that offer posters as well to give a good mix of posts / fiverr i am getting 40 posts for the 5.

        at the end of the day they are starter posts so they will be weeded out eventually and replaced with natural posts once going.

        if you have a url and i like the forum happy to drop a few natural posts for you / pm if you want.

        ? you would think there would be a new forum post barter system setup so people could help each other out in start up. ?
