Is article writing the quickest way to make cash online?

Hello everyone. I'm new to the IM world and I need to make around $225 over the next few days.

Would it be possible for me to do this by writing articles? And if so, how would I go about offering my services? I am also open to any alternative methods anyone might have.

In my experience if you are talking about writing the articles and selling them then $225 is possible. Again in my experience your being new you would have to sell them low, say around $3 or $4 an article so you would need to do quite a bit of writing.

Nothing I say above is written in concrete and it may be possible for you to get more. However, you asked if it was possible to make $225 in a few days and even with my low figures the answer is yes.

Article marketing is very effective if you know how to do it right. It is definitely possible to make that money by writing articles, I recommend you read about the Bum Marketing method if you haven't heard about it until now. Here's the link, the info is free:

If you don't want to go on this route, you could very well create an account on GAF(GetAFreelancer.com) and start bidding on article writing projects. Make a file with samples of your work as people require that to consider you for a job.

I guess I and Razvan read your post differently. I'm talking about ghostwriting and or PLR and Razvan is talking about bum/article marketing.

One way you could get the $225 immediately or at least soon is to take on a project that would take you a week or two for $500. Find an IMer who trusts you and ask $225 now, then write your fingers to the bone to deliver ASAP. Using my low figures again, $500 / $4 an article = 125 articles. Write 10 to 15 or more a day and deliver them in packages of 10 every day until you complete the project. 10 articles a day should leave you plenty of time to do other things during the day while still reaching your goal of $225 now and at the end of the assignment having another $275 coming in.

When I do it I offer a mix of articles from 350 words to 450 words. In reality as I send the articles to my customer the articles are usually between 400 to 600 words each. I always end up with more words .

I really don't believe you have to start as low as $4 or $5 an article (assuming you can write well).

My first writing assignment netted me $300 over the course of a few days.

It definitely can be done.

There are certain niches out there that'll pay an arm and a leg for articles.

I'm part of a poker affiliate's forum where I've been selling some article recently. Most articles I've sold have actually been used as content on people's sites, but I've managed to get anywhere from 20-30$ for each 500-800 word article.

Just find a niche forum, offer your writing services, and get paid.

Okay, here's the 2 cent tour of article writing from somebody who has been
doing it for a pretty long time both as a freelancer and a marketer.

Let's start with freelancing first.

Freelancing

This is where you write articles and sell them for a profit. This is a very
quick way to make cash. Just head on over to Elance.com or some other
site where people are bidding on article jobs and you can literally make money
that day.

Here's the problem, and the reason I got out of this business a long time
ago.

There is TONS of competition and people out there willing to write articles
for less than lunch money. So getting anything near a decent rate,
especially when you're first starting out with no reputation at all, is next
to impossible. Expect to be writing for $3 to $5 per article max. So to
make $225, you're talking about writing between 45 and 75 articles.

As I got a reputation for writing quality articles, more people started
coming to me for work. I could afford to raise my prices because I was
overbooked. Suddenly, nobody wanted to pay them.

The answer why?

"Yeah, your articles are great, but for my purposes, I don't need Pulitzer
Prize winning stuff, not when I'm just sticking a few articles on my blog,
so thanks but no thanks. I can get $5 articles that while maybe not as
good are all I need."

I paraphrased the common responses I got. But I wasn't going to cave in.
I said, screw it. Somebody wants my services, they're going to pay for them.

Fortunately, I was already a successful marketer and didn't need the work
anymore.

Point is, good luck making a living as a freelancer with the mindset of
most people today. For the most part, they think a $5 article writer is all
they need.

Marketing

Writing articles for the purpose of marketing products and services is a
whole different ballgame. Depending on the niche, this money can come in
fast or very slow. And even at that, most affiliate programs aren't going
to pay you for 30 to 60 days after you start making the sales anyway, and
with some, there are pretty high minimums.

So in general, at least in comparison to freelancing, article writing done for
the purpose of marketing is very slow.

Sure, you could create your own product and sell it through PayPal, but
now you're into an area beyond just article writing. Now you're into
product creation.

Article writing, for the purpose of pure marketing, is just a part of the
marketing puzzle and should not be counted on as the only source of
income. As many articles as I write, it still only accounts for about 67%
of my income...and I've been writing articles for several years now.

Bottom line is this...there is no real quick money on the Internet unless
you have a lot of money to invest in things like dropshipping for Ebay
sales or a massive Adwords campaign for your own product where the
money goes into your PayPal account right away and you can start
transferring it to your bank account.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Payperpost pay about ten bucks a post via paypal. Advertorials are a great way to make money. Right now, may only merchants need buzz for their products. Selling links is a much faster and easier way to make cash in a flash.

True: You do not have to start as low as $4 or $5.

However, if you simply want or need some money right now and you offer do do a few articles for $4 or $5 you will get a job just from your sig file in a matter of minutes.

I used to clean carpets. I made a steady income from scheduled jobs. Appointments etc.

Carpet cleaners don't work on rainy days. Why? Because (at least back in my day with the equipment I used) Carpets would not dry.

While my other carpet cleaning friends stayed home waiting for the rain to stop or hoping for a flooded carpet so they could wet vacuum it, I would be working in the rain. Why? I cut my price in half on rainy days.

Back to article writing. Newbies who come here looking for some seed money, or "rainy day" money, if they can get top dollar, more power too them. If not, a couple of days of hard work, writing for what they need might be just the ticket.

I've found the quickest way to make money is to press the button that says "broadcast" in your email autoresponder.

If you don't have a list, the quickest way is PPC... But that doesn't mean you are going to make a profit...

I agree with you George.

When you need money urgently, the best is to quote a lower price as compared to others so that you get the job and get paid. The more article writing jobs you get, the faster you are going to hit the $225.

I agree that time constraints will affect your prices.

If someone is willing to order in bulk, I could see dropping the prices per article, too.

For me, if someone is going to or 10 or 20 articles, I do not have a problem at all with a bulk rate (but not $5 an article, though ).

Also, if someone wants articles each month, I can work a deal on that, too.

I just hate to see people dropping their prices so low and working for peanuts. That's just me.
