THINK ABOUT IT:

We live in a virtual world. We do business in a virtual world with virtual people.
We use virtual paper and pens. Virtual graphs and mind maps.
Our whole businesses (for the most part) are virtual.

We have the most environmental business on the planet.

We e-mail everybody. We collect databases on virtual servers.

We have websites and blogs in a virtual realm.

We don't use paper. (Ok small amounts)

We don't need to travel to work, we are already there.

SO WHAT I HEAR YOU ASK

Unique selling point springs to mind.

How many of you have clients, or are looking for new clients. Well now you have a unique angle. Sell them on the benefits of being online. Good for the environment. Amongst other things.

What are your thoughts. Am I a raving lunatic tree hugging blogger. Or do I have a point. Lets talk

Pete

That's great Pete, I hadn't thought about that before. Too bad I'm not a tree hugger...

    Interesting idea.

Though, servers take up a lot of power

Indeed - everything we're doing online is supported by an awful lot of energy I'm afraid! But we are sparing a lot of trees. I definitely believe in a paperless office.

You could always run your servers off your own solar powered grid

I am so green that I've begun doing Green Offsets by driving my hummer, burning Styrofoam, and leaving all my lights on 24/7.
