My name is Anthony Mendez. I'm a New York-area based professional voice-over artist (AnthonyVO.com) and i've always wanted to write a book about the business to help newbie vo's (voiceovers). But on a recent trip to LA to attend my manager's Halloween party, my agent gave me Tim Ferriss' "4 Hour Workweek." It changed my life. I decided to write an ebook instead of a traditional book and skip the entire editor, publisher, literary agent hustle.

After searching for how to write and publish an ebook, I came across 7dayebook.com by Jim Edwards and Joe Vitale. I set to write my book right away. Although I took 14 days to write and edit the book, I was still surprised by how quickly a book can come together when you know the material - in this case the voice-over business. The book I wrote was aimed squarely at newbies that worry about being online more than practicing their craft of voicing. The book is called "Meditation for Voice Over: The Voice-Actors Guide to Not Worrying and Reducing Stress."

Anyway, since I used to do graphic, web design, and new media marketing, I noticed how Jim Edwards followed up, and some of their code, and eventually I came across this forum. According to what most people were using, I set up my ClickBank publisher account, got my ebook and website approved, and launched it last Friday evening, November 21st. I enouraged the owner of a social network site geared toward voice-over aritsts and showed him how to set up an affiliate account. To date I've made over $200 from the ebook (with testimonials from new and working voice-over artists), without any Adwords nor articles. I also launched a blog called "The Lazy Voice-Over" the same day in order to build my list and use some affiliate accounts I set up.

So, for someone who hasn't done this before (only been an internet marketer for 7 days now), I learn quick and I'm looking forward to learn how to really capitalize on what I know - the voice-over business, movies (i do movie trailers and am managed by one of the top movie trailer voiceover managers Wintner Artist Management), web and graphic design, and audio recording and engineering; eventually, creating and testing a nice WSO.

Vermont huh? I grew up in the headstone and mausoleum business and my family used to go up to Barre to price and purchase large granite stock. Nicest people in the world (+ very courteous drivers), and maple syrup to die for!

Yep... here in Vermont we've sure got the best maple trees/syrup... I did my share of sugaring last spring... still got a couple gallons left that I made to last me the winter...

We do it the old fashioned way too... buckets on trees... no fancy lines or anything... it just makes it taste better when you think of all the hard work you did, tapping each tree, then collecting the sap, bucket by bucket, trudging through the snow... then boiling the sap down at my buddie's sugar house... ahh.. I can't wait for spring! lol... a little early to be wishing for that I know...

Thats awesome Anthony. Good to see you've taken advantage of the internet. Do you still plan to publish the book in stores with a publisher or with self publishing?
