How do I insert quotes on my thread into the original post?

I hope that makes sense :confused: I want to insert quotes from one of my threads into the original post. Someone please explain it to me in idiot terms!

    Copy the post, paste it into the original thread, highlight it, then click the 'quote' icon. It puts the [ quote ] tags around the selected text.

    One more tip, go to the actual post you'd like to quote, and hit quote. copy the text it places in the reply box. that way, the quote will include a link to the actual post, which shows you didn't just make it up
