RepeatX100 - Is this Viable Advice?

I am new to IMing, and have been making small money simply by writing quality content for others, and it has been great. The money coming in easily pays for hosting (which is my only expense atm).
This relates to my question, as the most common piece of advice on the forum I hear given to newbies is repeat what you are doing.
People say that if you want to earn 100$...500$...even 1000$ a day, you should find what makes money and then repeat it many time.
Isn't this hard for newbies? It is for me personally.
People say that if you have a site\blog earning a few bucks a day, make 100 more of them so that you combined earning will be 500$ a day.
How am I, a complete newbie who is challenged in understanding all the various terms and concepts in IMing, supposed to create 100 more similar sites\blogs that will earn money?
Doesn't this include buying all those domains? Setting everything up?
Wont the whole process take months? What about the upkeep and daily tweaking?
I am sorry if I am missing the point in this advice, it just seems very hard for a newbie (maybe just me) to implement this strategy.

What tools+knowledge dos a beginner such as myself need when trying to follow this strategy?

Thanks

If you are already writing quality content for others... write a report on how to do something relatedd to internet marketing and post a WSO in the Warrior Special Offers forum.

    Ask 5 bucks for it.

    Try it.

      Couple things...

Once you set up a few sites you get pretty good at it, and can do it quickly. I can do one in less than 15 minutes. This includes buying domain, changing nameservers, adding domain to hosting, installing wordpress, installing plugins, theme, etc.

Then you just get your content up and your done.

Now, the way people really have 100 sites, is to outsource a lot of the work. Once you know you want, and you have say 5-10 sites making some kind of money, you can start to outsource some of the work if you want.

However, I wouldn't worry about site 100 until #99 is up and running. So basically, if you have one up, focus getting #2 up and profitable.

      Hope that helps.

If you are satisfied with the amount of money you are making now, well then by all means stick with your one website.

But if one day you want to make serious money as internet marketer, than scaling up is one of the best ways to accomplish that.

Generally, one successful website usually doesn't make as much money as five. (Unless of course you make a website as ground breaking as FaceBook.) No one is asking you to conquer internet marketing in one day.

What we do hope for you is that you can dream big.

Set goals for yourself and work to reach them. For example, start a new website every year.

That is how you grow as an internet marketer, and that is how you make enough money to quit your day job.

No, this kind of advice is not doable for most people.

If it took you 3 days to set up your website and get it ranked to the point where you were happy with it, you could do 120 sites a year if you did nothing else.

But setting up your sites and promoting them so that they get ranked is a fair amount of work. For some sites it is more and for others less, but it is still a fair amount of work.

But as far as scaling up, if you want to do something 100 times, you are going to need help. And getting help is going to require money to pay them and the creation of training for them.

Scaling on an individual basis does work pretty well and you can certainly repeat what you are doing 100 times, but when someone tells you that in a forum or anywhere, ask them how it has worked for them in their experience.

It would be cool to hear about something that worked really well and created, and then promoted great long lasting sites.
