Determining The Price Of A Guide!

Hey guys,

I have been working on a parenting guide which is nearly complete, it is a pdf which will be about 20 pages long once complete, it also comes with printable extras which are to be used in conjunction with the content of the guide itself. (it's based on travel safety)

Basically I would like an idea of how much to charge, I don't really know myself as this is my first ever product. I don't really want to charge too high and price myself out, and I dont really want to charge too low incase people think that the low price equals a crappy product.

Any input would be great, thanks for your help in advance.

Stephen.

Depends on your target market and their spending power..I would suggest a survey

Here is what I do when i price my product. Not a step by step guide but something you can refer to.

    - Ask yourself, how much is the product worth to you. eBook usually cost between $7 - $27 range. For a 20 page product...I would say $9. But if it's something specialize, then it would worth more.

    - Ask yourself, is there any competitor selling similar product like yours? how much do they charge?

    - Ask yourself, is this product your front end or back end product? If it's a front end product, then i will price it low just to get ppl to buy them - then I will sell them a higher priced backend product.

Since this is your first product, naturally, it should be your front end product so i don't suggest selling more than $10.

Alternatively, you can test the pricing. Have 2 sales page with 2 different price and set a month to see the results.
