Clickbank "Affiliate = None"??

I have been promoting a Clickbank product for a while and recently decided to check the checkout page of the product to make sure that my affiliate id was there. To my surprise, when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page I saw "affiliate = none". I was mad at first then I thought, maybe it was some sort of mistake. So I got my affiliate link again, put it in my website and checked it. When I did this and checked it my id was there.

Then last night I checked it again and once again "affiliate = none". I checked it this morning and the id is there. Anyone know what's going on with Clickbank links?

I think I have been missing out on some sales.

So I assume you have been following your cookies each and every time - Yes?

Then let me ask you which browser you are using. I heard some specialized browsers really screw around with Clickbank Cookies.

I haven't been. All I was doing for this product was seeing if my affiliate id was at the bottom of the checkout page.

Indeed. This is realistic, I'm afraid.

Affiliate link-tracking isn't as reliable as one would like.

In particular, some anti-spyware and "security" software that people have running on their computers can interfere with affiliate-tracking, as even Clickbank themselves have admitted. Anything that clears cookies is sometimes going to cause this problem, and variants of it.

It doesn't matter which browser you're using: it may matter which browser your potential customers are using, but of course we can't control that.

If in doub't, clear your cookies and local cache and try again. This is most likely your problem.

I ran into this problem once before my self. I was actually checking each of my affiliate links on my page. After I had not received any sales for a couple days on a particular product. However I was going directly from my affiliate site so that I could make sure that the it was directing to the right page from there. I looked at my click bank analytics and it was tracking the clicks to the order page. Although it was showing affiliate and tracking id none at the bottom of the checkout page.

The reason it was doing this was for some dumb reason I had cookies blocked and removed. Make sure your browser is allowing cookies first. If it is then make sure that you have not some how blocked cookies from clickbank with your firewall or virus protection. The firewall was the main reason why mine where not tracking on the order form. Although I did also have my browser set to not allow any cookies as well. So just double check your browser and firewall settings. Then see if that fixes the problem.

The bad thing about the clickbank tracking system is that if a buyer comes to your affiliate site from your link and they do not have their browser set to accept cookies. You will most likely miss out on that sale. There is nothing you can do about the individuals browser unless you find away to make sure to tell them to accept cookies.

Don't use the encrypted link, it's the freaking devil!
Purchase 3rd party cloaking script if you're so concerned about commission theft.

I've just spent 10 hours+ to finally figure out that conventional hoplink
http://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net is the way to go for this problem.
Tested it out on most top gravity products in IM niche, when I use encrypted
link it will show [affiliate = none] and only when I revert back to traditional
link it will actually show [affiliate = my_affiliate_id].

Tips: If you don't know the vendor ID, just go to
CBENGINE - Top ClickBank Marketplace Website!
and look up for the product name in their search engine.

    Hope this helps!

I found out that when using the Hop link of the affiliate product page I get [affiliate = none], and when using the Hop link from Click bank I get [affiliate = my_affiliate_id].

I changed all my links on my websites and suddenly all my sales went up. I made in one day the same as in one month before.

I read somewhere that the Hop links from the affiliate product page have a high [affiliate = none], because of cookies turned of at the buyers end.

In 2004 Click-bank confirmed this and introduced the new coded Hop-link that is not affected by the cookies.

I do believe that not disclosing having to pay to get your pay is called extortion and fraud but if someone is affiliated with your (company) take your agreed on amount but dont make them pay first. You have the money once agreed on??? Right ????
