Sidebar Backlink Plan - Looking for Feedback

I'm thinking about buying about 10 PR3 blogs on flippa so that I can create backlinks to my niche sites on the sidebars of these blogs on an as needed basis.

The idea is to create a way for me to have "backlinks on tap" without having to buy them from someone else, or to use article marketing.

I was doubtful that sidebar links were valuable until I read a post here on the forum by LMC. He has over 500 sites and says that he buys sidebar backlinks as his ONLY form of backlinking for all his niche sites.

Why buy links on a case by case basis, when I can buy PR3 blogs on flippa for about $200-300 each?

If I bought the sites, I'd then hire my VA to add new content to them (to maintain their PR) on a weekly basis.

I'm sure there are some warriors here on the forum that are much smarter than me, so I look forward to hearing your feedback.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing but building the sites myself around my long tail keyword for my niches. I think the real value of these sites comes from the home page back link... Plus the added ability to boost link count quickly by adding a site wide link as you please.

Just never link any of your money sites back to these sites or link between your backlink sites.

Many mature top ranked sites have bought site wide backlinks, although some Google experts are saying the value of sidebar links is diminishing. Having psuedo review articles relevant to your money site, with anchor text links are an alternative.

Actually, I have never seen a PR3 blog WITH traffic being sold for so cheap.

Unless they are plain domain names, they should be a lot more expensive.
