Stop Asking Yourself, Why Your Sales Page Is Not Coverting, Here's WHY!

After many years in this whole IM game, and with countless hours of testing and tweaking with all my salespages in all 7 of my niches, there is TWO obvious things that many people overlook when getting frustrated with their sales pages and conversions.

These two things are so powerful that when I incorporate them in my marketing plan, I have been using a sales page that converts at about 12% almost like clockwork.

Here is why.

1) Giving live Proof that what you are selling works

No use giving fake testimonials and fake screenshots these days. That is right! People can smell this a mile away these days. People do not care, who you are, where you come from. They really just want to see for their own eyes, if your product works for others, and see real live example before they part with their money.

I realized that my potential clients really simply want to know that what is on offer works. But not tell them, show them the who what when why and how. Use videos, sounds, login live and show accounts for proof etc. You have to do all you can to put up the flash sign saying "Look what you are missing out on if you do not buy this stuff!"

I have noticed that if you show results in advance you have almost half closed the sale. In fact I would go as far as to say that, even if I only have minimal sales copy and more proof, and results in advance for my prospects to see, I would probably increase my sales conversions by 150%. I have not tested this, but it is probably something I should do!!!

The bottom line is that people have a skeptical mentality that rattles around in their brain. You have, I have it, and even as marketers, when we visit sites and start reading sales pages, the skeptical mentality starts buzzing and rattling questions around in your brain.

You know all the normal questions:-

Is this BS.

Where is the Proof?

Why do I need this?

Is this really going to work for me?

It is really worth this much money?

Etc etc.

If you can answer these silent questions in peoples head, then watch your sales and profits skyrocket.


2) Getting targeted traffic

This is a big one. I have told many of my coaching students that untargeted traffic to your site is like selling an alcoholic a piece of broccoli. Where is that going to get you. Nowhere. What does and alcoholic want. Cheap alcohol right?

I would rather have 1 person visit my site that was at least half interested in what I have on sale, than 100 people that do not even care my website or sales page exists.

Still to this day, I do not understand why people fall for the trap of those sites which say "Get 500 visitors to your website for $9.99" To me that is the biggest load of BS and even if it not some fake proxy traffic, the traffic is not going to get you optins and hungry customers to buy what you have on offer.

Do not wait for the targeted traffic to go to you. You must seek them out and find out where they are hiding online and go put your messages, ads, offers infront of as many of them as possible.

I use to do this with a dog training product i once sold. I went to a well known forum and asked the mod if I could put my banner ad up the very top of the forum. So when people logged in it was the first thing they saw and was right in their face. If they clicked the banner it would take them to my dog training sales page.

I worked out a price with the mod of the forum and offered to pay him $40 a month to have the banner ad static and just sitting there. He thought that was a fair price. But little did he know that for every $40 I shelled out each month, it bought in a cool $800 in profit. So, A good investment? You betcha!!

Realise that there are no secrets to making money with online niche marketing. This comes from lots of testing and tweaking. You just have to learn to work smarter, not harder, as in my 2 examples above.

  • I've found a lot that conversion results depend entirely on who is reading the sales copy. If you get your product in front of people that really want to buy it, it will almost sell itself. The true trick to IM is getting that product in front of those people.

      I think both points are just extremely important... by providing videos showing the product works will definitely get people to believe and getting targeted prospects... is just common sense... I mean you can't sell a fridge to Eskimo... do you ?

    Targeted traffic is absoutely essential.

    I can never understand why some many people fall for the 10million visitors for $9.95 ads, and get involved in traffic click exchanges etc, etc.

    Being successful online demands an element of work just like any business, and it's crazy to think otherwise.
