Password protecting a forum

Ok this is a technical question and I'm not sure where to ask it, but any help would be appreciated.

How do you password protect a forum, for like a membership forum you know?

Also how do you upload camtasia videos to the forum as well?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    It depends on the forum you are using?

    If it is vbulletin, they already integrated it with password protection forums.

    If you are using a free forum script like phpbb, then better you ask in those forums. Most forums has modules or hacks that extend their functionality.

    Reg. camtasia - don't know much about uploading such big files to forums.
