Recurring affiliate payouts percentages?

Hi Affiliate Marketers,
Need some input here before I open my website up to affiliate marketers. What would be an attractive percentage I can give affiliate marketers for a subscription based software selling for the price of $29.95 per month?

25%? 50%? Or more? How about 2nd tier?

Thanks in advance!

    Hey what2offer,

As high a percentage as you can afford.

If you have a good backend setup, you can
    even offer a 100% commission.

If you've heard of David Deangelo, he offers
200% commissions on his front-end product.

Yup, he's losing money everytime someone sells
his front end product. But he has lots of backend
products to sell to those customers.

And who wouldn't be attracted by a 200% commission?

If you don't have any technical issues,
offering a 2nd tier would be great too.

Because you can go out and offer affiliate
recruiters a cut of the commission too, and
they will do the work of finding more
    affiliates for you.

I think at least 30% - 50%. Many marketeers use $20 as a bottomline figure, but since this is recurring it will be more attractive.

Aweber uses 30% on their $19.95 recurring monthly fee and they have no shortage of affiliates. Of course they are pretty well known.

      • I go with 60%, depending on the niche it can go as high as 75-100% (if there is a recurring backend).

Thanks for the feedback so far. Great insight!

We do not have any front end product to sell right now. Would this shy many affiliate marketers away, even if we offer 50% recurring income (which would then equal $15 per month per subscriber for the affiliate)?

Our product does sell very well. Just want to make it as attractive to affiliate marketers as possible before we make the approach.

Also, what is the best way to share our product with affiliate marketers? I know there is a great place on this forum. But any other tips on this?

Would LOVE more feedback on this. Thanks again.
