need wordpress help...

Hi All,

I've set up a wordpress blog, and it's been working just fine. I've made multiple posts. Now, for some strange reason, when I go to log in the screen says:

Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 196 in /hsphere/local/home/lastingp/mywebsite.com/wp-login.php on line 196

Does anyone know what that means?

    I think I know what the problem is. You don't have a comment terminated in your "wp-login.php" file. Find a comment near line 196... and add the closing tag. If you need help with this, contact me and I will gladly help.

      wp-login.php isn't a page you should ever edit, though. I think it's time to do an in-place upgrade of WordPress. Download the latest copy and upload it to where your blog is installed. It will only replace WP core files, your theme and plugins aren't in the zip so they don't get overwritten. That should fix any problems you have.
