CPA - Media Buys

I just read a 7 page thread on this and still don't really understand what it is... Can someone explain to me more clear what Media Buys are? Sorry if this is a dumb question, thanks alot.

    Usually when you hear people talk about media buys they usually mean buying large quantities of media, which simply means buying ad space on a web site.

    It's quite simple

    CPA = You get paid to promote a product
    Media buys = You buy advertising and use it to promote the CPA offer

    That's the basics anyway :p
