IM Video Sales Letters

It seems that most product launches are video based these days.

What type of response from product sellers do you think I would get if I asked for permission to host and show their sales videos from a site I own. I would of course display affiliate links as well.

More generally, is the attitude of these video sales letter creators more protective of their funnels or do they encourage exposure however they can get it?

Of course each product owner is different, but opinions are appreciated!

What advantage would you have by paying to host the videos on your won site?

Good question. Not sure if I will be able to create an advantage, but assuming I could, would the sales video creators go along with it?

Unless you have something to offer them that will increase their conversions or decrease their costs, I would guess they would decline.

That is just my opinion, I just can't think of any advantage they would get by giving you a copy of their video. There might be one, but I do not know what it would be.

I guess the advantage would be exposure that they would not otherwise get, resulting in more sales, regardless of the rate at which those sales happen.

As a counter thought ( I am making up that I am one the people with a video sales letter)

the sales letter can get more exposure if you just promote that for them, and drive more traffic to them and then they do not need to go to any extra work to give you the videos. And then they don't have to worry about what else you are going to put on the page where the videos are.

Good point. I'd probably end up with 2nd & 3rd tier offers since the market leaders want opt-ins to view their videos.

JMichaelZ I think there is advantages to hosting your own videos in certain situations for instance when your doing a product launch where certain videos need to be hidden from public until users provides Name and Email and by hosting you can use your own video player which some have drop down ads or linkabe text , etc.. where you can increase your profits where youtube and other video sites don't allow these capabilities.

I personally would say no to someone asking to
use/host my sales video(s) on their own site(s),
unless they were people that I had a serious
business relationship with for a while.

I say this as my concern would be: what else is
on the page with the video? offers that I have not
approved? reviews that I do not know about?
additional copy that makes claims I am not able
      to deliver?

a customer could falsely perceive the person
'hosting' another's video as maybe a part owner
in the product. this could lead to a great deal
      of confusion down the road.

basically in the right/wrong circumstance you
      could ruin yourself quickly.

and like William mentioned...I like (and am planning)
to be able to capture leads and follow up with a
sequence leading up to 'something'. to really know
what is working and not working, you need to be
101% in control of the sales process.

the only variant a what the OP suggests, that I
will be using, is that I have a few people that will
get their own landing page and a different sales
      letter and video.
