clickbank tax id question

Hi,
I will be going to US for my further studies. I will change the address from my current home country to the new address (of the US)...

According to Clickbank rule, US citizens are required to give their Tax ID...But what about international students? What should i submit?

If they don't require anything, that means that i am free from any taxes?
I mean Tax Ids are for US citizens/permanent residents or for aliens with work visa (h1b and all that)...
I will be coming on a student visa which is non-immigrant and don't allow full time work...(only part time and that too on campus)

By the way, i won't have Social Security Number as it is not required for international students unless they want to do part time job on campus (and i won't do that because my IM earning are way better than that)

Any help is appreciated.

Oddly enough, they answer this on their own website: Accounting Policy - ClickBank
Read the last paragraph of that question.

    • Hi,
Thanks for the response. I should fill "w8-ben" form....

      This was clickbank's response :

"W8 form or W-8BEN is the “Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding”. It is required by the U.S. based company so that they don’t need to report to the U.S. tax office about any income paid to you.The W-8BEN is for persons subject to tax withholding. For non-U.S. affiliates, affiliate income is generally "foreign-sourced income" and therefore not subject to tax withholding."

My Home country also has a tax treaty with US...

I think i will be excluded from paying Income Tax...am i right?
