    Start creating backlinks and start promoting it on other article directories. You could write articles about article marketing and have them link back to your directory as one of the links.

      Here are three free traffic generation methods that you can focus on asap. Just do a little research on each here in the forum.

      1) Social Bookmarking (good way to get some quick traffic)
      2) Article Marketing (Press Releases, Article Directories, etc)
      3) Commenting in forums and other peoples blogs

      You could also hire someone here on the forum to get traffic for you, just make sure they have some history here and good reviews.

      The long and short of it is, you need to build up a website traffic by getting backlinks to the site.
