In 3 months Dot Info site goes from Alexa 350,000 to 352 Thurs. Today probably higher. However...

..the site will die soon.

Why?

It's BlackFriday.info. It's ranking number three in a google search for 'black friday'. Do you think this site made some money this week? ;-)

Pretty good idea. I wonder how long they worked on rankings.

It's a seasonal domain.. err.. VERY VERY seasonal domain that probably has an active, lucrative life of about 2-3 weeks MAX. I'm sure they know this.. until next year!

It's a 3 year old site that's registered through 2017, so I'm guessing they work on them pretty regularly. People who register domains for 20 years usually take their sites seriously.

Keep in mind (why don't folks catch on?), Alexa ranking doesn't mean squat.

Alexa rankings are only derived from stats generated by Alexa users. They hold not weight elsewhere.

What are your GOOGLE stats? How about Yahoo! or MSN?

Those are stats that mean something.

You can deff get a hint on how much traffic certain websites gets. I believe the top 500 is quite set in iron, sure if you are in the 100,000 it flucates a lot.

      That's how I see it.
