Selling my website on flippa - need advice

Hey everyone,

I'm going to sell one of my sites on flippa.com in the next few days. Just seeing if anyone has a good way to put a value on it. I don't want to bid too high or low.

Quick stats

average monthly visitors - just over 3,000
money earned in 2010 - $2,000

Ranking #1 in Google, Yahoo, Bing for keyword "online jobs for students"

I have every screenshot to prove traffic and income...

How accurate are the free website value calculators?

    They are very inaccurate.

See, the easiest way to estimate the value of your site, is the amount YOU are willing to pay for it, if you have to buy that site. This amount will be very near to the money you'll get.

Ignore any free calculators - you can't put an automatic valuation on anything like this.

It depends on quite a few factors, so would need quite a few more details to give a better "valuation". Revenue sources are important, as are traffic sources. If you are solely dependant on SE traffic that may push the price down a little.

As an estimate, I'd go with a reserve of $2000 an a BIN of $2995.

Drop me a message if you have any other questions, I tend to lose track of threads

If it made 2k in 2010, I'd say at least $2500.

      yes, i agree.
setting the reserve price around 2000$ and asking for a BIN around 3000$ will do fine. You could even start with a higher BIN, to show potential buyers that you value your site high, then lower it towards the end of the auction.
this gives the bidders the feeling you're offering a discount, or you're desperate to sell.

I have a lot of unused domains (about 100), what are pretty good, so I will give flippa a try. Anybody has a recommendation for a service setup whole sites (20,50 or 100)? Would you recommend high quality content or an autoblog solution? Thanks for your help; maybe I will make a contest and give share to my helper!
