It has been more than 6 months and nothing is turning right. Not to mention that I have been diligently updating contents into my 2 blogs which is based on 2 Zynga's game. I have been getting about 15k visits (based on for these 2 blogs for last month but I cant moneytized it.

I am seriously thinking of selling it away. Any takers?

But on the other hand, it is a waste of time if I were to give up just like that. It is also depressing when I think of it. Any suggestions on how to improve or should I just let it go?

Would you mind telling what's your website address? Updating your blog is 1 thing, but you have to consistently fire some quality links to it. Is your website highly optimized with your keywords?

You can monetize with AdSense too.

c'mon. 15k traffic per month over two sites is EASY to monetize. stick some highly target affiliate ads on there, if that fails go with adsense and get feedback on your ad placements.

you should be able to make at least $50/day with that kind of traffic.

Wow - It took me much longer to get a decent residual income created. I'm glad I didn't give up after only 6 months.

Maybe you're not cut out for IM and should do something different that makes you happier.

I have been "dabbling" over the last year and was getting nowhere. Then towards the end of last year I hit on an idea which seems to be slowly taking off.

Many times I thought of giving up but kept at it.

If I was getting 15K visitors I would certainly expect to be regularly making money. I have heard of newbies with only 500 visitors start to make money.

Is it not as several people have said that it is how the site is monetized?

my sites are so new they barely scrape double figues in traffic per day, but i've made two sales in the past fortnight.

with 15,000 daily visitors and no cash to show for it this guy is either lying or his head is just in the clouds

15k per month and you made no money? Seriously? Haven't you heard of Google Adsense?

You can also put up an opt-in subscription form and build a mailing list. Offer a free report or e-book as bait.

There is no direct relationship with x amount of traffic and x income.

People seem to always think traffic=money

    It's not true.

    BAD traffic = No money.

I think I would agree with Andyhenry that Bad Traffic = No money.

I did try on Google Adsense but my application was rejected due to the reason of unacceptable site content. Possibly because my website contains images of the games by Zynga.

I have been getting steady flow of unique visitors to my site because i try to update my blog once a day and the contents must be either 'in-the-game' or I try to provide some tips and know how on the game. I can afford to do that because I am playing the games myself. But I had slacked off for the past couple of weeks because I do not know whether I want to continue or not.

I am thinking of what ways can be done to try to finally monetized it. Any suggestions? One more thing, I am not that computer literate.

It's always good to share problems with people ! i think what you have had is so normal , it's just a bad luck combined with the normal negative results of internet marketing , because it's not working everyday ,specially when you start! i wanted to say , never give up , never , you will have your own big day ,soon ! and may be if you want a suggestion , try to work "for" other people , you will get paid and this way you will get more about their job and you will discover new tricks and stuff / secrets ! G.luck

Once again, lots of advice, but nobody telling him to build a list. You should concentrate your efforts into getting those 15k visitors a month to join your mailing list! Get yourself an AWeber account and offer a free related ebook or related product in exchange for their email address.

6 months? Wow! That is NOTHING as far as time goes! Depending on what you are doing, maybe you need to have some more patience. Sounds to me that you bought into the "make money overnight" lie.

Sometimes it takes businesses YEARS to really make anything. Geez 6 months and you are whining about making nothing? True enough, there are people who make something their first month, but in the big scheme of averages, it takes TIME. It's that simple.

You also might want to make sure your market wants what you are offering. What else are you doing to try to make money? What KIND of traffic are you getting to your site? These are some things to think about also.

If you don't have a backbone and want to give up this early in the game then maybe selling stuff online isn't for you. Just sayin...

Thanks everyone. I think I know what to do. I am not going to give up yet but have thought out a different way to boost even more traffic and hopefully can convert it into some earnings.

      Thanks again!

Please don't give up, just because you're not seeing results right now doesn't mean they're not about to happen for you.

Back in 2000 I started internet marketing, spent a small fortune, and made virtually nothing and I gave up in 2001.

BUT I started again in 2005 and was absolutely DETERMINED to make it work for me -- I wasn't going to stop until I did. And I did.

I'm now retired from my "day" job and a full time marketer at home, as well as being a mum and wife.

Believe in yourself, be prepared to put the hard yards in and you will make it.

There's no such thing as getting rich quickly in IM, you have to work at it and stick with it.

I'd also recommend that you stay focus and concentrate on one method or get a mentor and stick with something and see it through to the end. It's far too easy to chop and change all over the place and then achieve nothing.

    Good luck,

    Colleen

I know how you feel, but do not give up yet. I recently wrote in IM reality that no one talks about. IM is hard but rome was not built in a day or 6 months, for most of us it takes time. At least knowing what to do is half of the battle.

Learn everyday and make little changes daily, I am sure we can all succeed. Good luck.

Don't give in that easily. Expand your efforts and focus on building into a few other niches and not really focus on just these two.

I did really well with the whole zynga thing a few months back but, now things have slowed way down. I don't know what happened maybe all the hype just died or something. Some niches just die out over time. I cut those because I had a good run and moved on.

I'm not suggesting that you cut them just yet. As mentioned, try building a list up and write a series of messages. If your still not converting them well... I think you know.

Good luck and keep moving forward! 6 months is nothing. You still have plenty of time.

There are some Affiliate networks dealing with gaming. You can apply with Maxbounty or some others. It's easier to monetize your website with relevance ads. I'm sure you will make big money since they pay $30-$100 in commission. Just apply and give it a try.

In my opinion, you should never give up if you already started. The first step is to get yourself wet. You will fail many times. But you will succeed at the end if you are willing to advance.

I, myself almost gave up a few months ago. But I decided not to. My patience did paid off big time. Recently this month, I started to make money. so far I've earned well over $5K in affiliate commission this month and counting. Probably will reach over $6K at the end of this month. Right now I'm averaging over $700/day on autopilot.

You will never know until you try. And when you are willing to do it, go all the way. Nothing is impossible really.

I think its far to early to be thinking of giving up, and if your getting that much traffic you must have done something right. Just take on board the comments you have received and take action.

Have you tried building a list and making money from it that way? What ways have you tried to monetize it that haven't worked? Try some affiliate marketing and promote other people's products.

    2 tips:

    1. As mentioned over & over you must get a mailing list built. Write a quick, short guide on gameplay tips or something relevant that people will want and use it as an incentive for people to join your list. Then build a relationship with these people via your e-mails add ing affiliate recommendations from time to time

    2. Have a monthy 'super tip' or 'golden nugget of wisdom' or a 'monthly/weekly game cheat' or something. Put it on a different page and content lock it behind a survey gateway from CPALead, LeadBolt or the other new one I can't remember the name of right now.
