| (I've contacted a couple of people on the "hiring" sub-forum but someone suggested that I should post it here as well.) I'm looking to hire someone to turn text content that I had written in the past into Powerpoint-based videos using screen recording software. Basically, this task would involve: - Make bullet points based on the content - Put together Powerpoint slides (template provided) - Plug in the microphone and record conversational (i.e. some "erm" and "ah"s would be okay) explanation of the ideas based on the text, using screen recording software such as Camtasia/Articulte Requirements: - Must be a native English speaker (US/UK preferred) - Must possess excellent speaking skills, can think on his/her feet and improvise (because the task is NOT reading out the text but to explain ideas in a conversational tone just like typical video tutorials) - Must be knowledgeable about various concepts of internet marketing Compared to the "traditional" content creation: - There's not much brainstorming or new content creation involved, as I'll be providing all the content - The content creation process is probably faster than article writing, especially after you're familiarized with the process after some time and especially if you're a good speaker and familiar with internet marketing If you're interested, please PM me with: - Experience with internet marketing - Experience with making video tutorials (if any) - Price quote per hour of video, i.e. the fee you charge for every hour of final video (NOT the time spent recording) Thanks! Owen P.S. I do have quite a lot of content (estimation:10-20 hours of recording), which is why I don't have the time to do it myself as I'm pressed for other projects. |

I've been heavily involved in PPT presentations for several years and use a high end tool to convert to a navigable flash presentation with player. This is EXCEEDINGLY better than trying to do a screen grab with something like Camtasia. I've done over 100 of these and have countless examples I can show you. Also, try to get away from the idea of narrated bullet points on slides. Althought that is what most people end up doing, that's also why most slide shows are so awful. They're boring and really poor at information delivery. There are a lot more effective ways of developing your material. - Russ |
