Yea, thanks.... plan on doing a "sign up to receive free program"... my thouights now though are handling ad space. There are so many paths for me to take and I know it wont be long before i have enough CPM to justify selling the ad space. So with this in mind what type of software or html I should begin learning to rotate ads... all in all i have my new program too that needs advertising..... or there any good services or software to contain the rotation of ad space maybe plug ins to record the rotations

  Stumbleupon.com ads can be very effective for that kind of thing. Targeting is not anywhere near as focused as Google, but the whole vibe of the site is sharing websites that are featuring cool content. Also, networking (building up your channel) on youtube is another great outlet.

The key to going viral is giving good content. Link to good content on twitter, either yours or others, on posts or videos related to your topic. Be seen as the expert in your niche. Also do a pre-launch sequence to build up anticipation for your launch, by releasing free content when they optin, one per week over the next three weeks.

One thing that will help it go viral, is to provide a way for your visitors to "share". Which could be a script to "email this to friends" or it could be a simple "share" script for facebook. Facebook has great viral capabilities if you use it right.

Hey Paul, thanks a bunch for your input... for starts Im using most of the social networks to get the product out. Wont be dabbing into bloggers, etc.. until the program becomes viral on its own. Also Im into writing so articles wont be a problem and my resources with publishing are vast...

The only reason why people would want to spread this is because they like the concept of the program; word of mouth. The product itself will be highly locked in as far as others having the product on their specific site... this will not happen legally, and will have surfers to protect this for me, etc. Are there any other ways you know of to protect this from happening.... giving my product out as free or as an added bonus to their product???

  My focus is on getting consumers/individuals to the website.... I never really thought about having the product on other websites. I feel as I need more control just coming out of the gate... and my intuition always told me to void that approach. Don't know.

  Now that you have me thinking ..... it is all about the new product. And with a few blurps in the FREE product about #2 product could bring lots of people to the #2 product site...
  
  All in all though I want to learn from following my path so I can be more personal with those that come to the site, etc., learn and make changes accordingly. Who knows perhaps I can get enough advertisers in there to back me as I figure how to take the next step.
  
  By taking smaller steps I will be able to keep control and learn methods to improve versus an all out effort where I could lose total control.. you know what i mean?

The fastest way for anything to go viral these days is with either Youtube or Facebook. But you need to be creative and you need to get on to this fast. You really should have had this ready to go for the beginning of January when everyone was making their new years resolutions to lose weight and searching for ways to do it. If you could get things moving fast and tie it in with that theme I'm sure you could get some good traffic going.

I like Paul's idea and it sounds great but you are still left with the problem of first getting it to go viral. All these other sites are not going to give it away unless they first hear about it.
